  1. There are various levels of support and I'm pretty sure there's a basic one that just allows you access to the KB articles and downloads but nothing else (such as phone/email support).
  2. What are the drivers for? If they are for anything other than the PE environment used by the build disk (e.g. they are for the OS once loaded, such as sound or graphics), then they won't be available to add to the build disk but will get pulled down during the build process. You only need to drivers to build disks if the first stage of the build can't see the network card to connect to the server or can't find the hard drives do the partitioning.
  3. I would speak to your RM account manager and/or LA support (depending upon how you get your RM support) and discuss the issue with them. The two servers from the other network (as far as I understand it) will need to be recommissioned onto the network you're keeping (which isn't something that RM allow end-users to do AFAIK)
  4. Indeed, the notes for upgrading Terminal Servers are in the SR2 documentation. Once you've got all your other servers up to date with updates and driver packs etc then you can run the Core Upgrade procedure on the TS to update the components on them. Again, notes for this are on the RM Knowledgebase.
  5. Presumably you're using LST to start the machines up in which case I'm not surprised this is happening as the only way to wake them up is to use the restart option :-) What's probably happening is that the restart job is working and turning the machines on but lingering around long enough that it's then being picked up again by the stations as they connect back to the server. As knelmes said, I'd look at a different solution for starting the machines.
  6. There should be a document on the RM site that lists the default GPO order for CC3 (I think, I know there's a CC4 one). May be worth checking that the Internet and Email policy is correctly configured and in the correct location to ensure it's actually getting applied.
  7. I recently installed 15 new laptops for a school and managed to get Digiblue 3 working on them by removing a MS Quartz update (KB975560 I think - although I can't be entirely sure.)
  8. On the Windows 7 machine next to me, my GIMP shortcut is set to start in the %USERPROFILE%\Pictures directory and as a result that's where GIMP wants to save files by default. I would look at what directory your shortcut is set to start the GIMP in :-)
  9. Excellent news. Glad you got it sorted.
  10. What browsers have you tried using the website with? Have a read through the FAQ (TinyMCE - TinyMCE FAQ) and see if any of the issues on there sound like yours.
  11. Are you running the most up-to-date driver? I had some HP LJ 1015/1020s at my old job that did something very similar (black strip down one side of the page). Upgraded the driver and the problem went away.
  12. The post 94/95 printer issue is a known problem and RM are aware of it. TEC1888172 is the one to read, which I'm assuming they will update once they have a timescale for a fix. At the moment the logging on/off is the best way to fix it.
  13. What was your old domain called? I know ours was setup as CURRICULUM but I can't remember if that was because it needed to be or if there were other reasons.
  14. What does your AD setup look like? Do you still have the Staff and Students OUs in the root of AD? (I've never needed to reinstall any aspect of TALMOS but I do remember when my last network was installed, one of the guys said never to rename those two OUs as they were hardcoded into the software)
  15. Certainly sounds like a bargain. Let's just hope the screens hold up now ;-)
  16. Indeed! Glad to hear you got it sorted. How much did it cost in the end?
  17. Not a problem. Emailed the technician who'll be taking over from me, will let you know what he says after half term :-)
  18. I was unable to find a newer BIOS when I attempted to upgrade two of the IT Suites last summer (summer 2009) and was unable to find anything. I went through a similar sort of conversation with RM and in the end it was cheaper (and a lot easier unfortunately) to buy 2GB sticks and just deal with the fact that the board would only see 1GB of it. I do however, have a school that has a whole load of machines just like the ones you're trying to upgrade that have all been upgraded to 2GB. Unfortunately, due to me moving jobs, I'm not likely to visit the school again to find out what stick of RAM is actually in there. I will however, email the technician who'll be taking over from me and getting him to crack open a case and find the type of RAM that's installed, if that would be any help?
  19. You need to run it like this: msiexec /a "K:\Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo\psppx2.msi"
  20. Have you tried doing an administrative install by launching the MSI via msiexec /a?
  21. Have you tried enabling verbose logging and seeing which part of the "applying settings" takes the longest? Sounds like you may have the same issue as suiko with the IE branding.
  22. According to a couple of MS forums, the drop down list only works if you have the "Auto-Complete for Web Addresses" turned on. May be worth resetting this in RMMC and forcing an update of group policy on the client.
  23. Presumably before you had IE8, everything worked? Were you on IE6 or IE7?
  24. I can't see any reason why that wouldn't work :-)
  25. I can still see some of the desk, I wouldn't call it crowded at all! ;-)
