That's my only idea so far, just worried the CTO won't find it feature risk. but can't find anything that will do the job!

As much as it may be a PITA, kill it and start again. The amount of issues you will have with the migration and legacy issues will vastly outweigh the time it takes to rebuild it.

Morning.....Afternoon All, Been asked to look into a site management system, where we can store info about a certain site and contents and pictures there of. E.g. Cab 1, has server 1 , server 2, ups 1 etc. and pictures of all. Needs to integrate with 365. Anyone know of any decent systems? Thanks Dalek

Robbie Coltrane: Harry Potter actor dies aged 72
DalekSec replied to elsiegee40's topic in General Chat
The man who invented the dictionary! "for I celebrated last night the encyclopaedic implementation of my pre-meditated orchestration of demotic Anglo-Saxon. I simply observed, sir, that I’m felicitous, since, during the course of the penultimate solar sojourn, I terminated my uninterrupted categorisation of the vocabulary of our post-Norman tongue" -
Chrome and Edge crashing and random user login!
DalekSec replied to DalekSec's topic in Cloud Services
Ok think i've found the random account login issue, logged into a global password manager and it auto filled the details and logged in chrome... Any help on the other issue with both edge and chrome crashing at same time be helpful.. happening on a few devices... -
Hi All, I'm beyond confused with this issue. Started off with both chrome and edge crashing at same time, which i've been looking in to but no luck. But the weird bit is, i've just turned on crash alerts for chrome and when it relaunched it was logged in with a @gmail.com account from our sister company. The device was brand new when i built it, my account also brand new. All built in autopilot/intune with policies i made (nothing to do with chrome yet). So unsure where its come from? I don't have access to our google workspace yet as yet to get the login details (only been here a month) but could there be a setting in there?

Papercut Hive - The horror story you've been waiting for?
DalekSec replied to TSheward_MM's topic in Cloud Services
Ideally want to go with Hive but i've just got hold of our printer contracts... which have 3 years left on them! So no change of swapping. Provider is pushing me towards Xerox cloud which i don't like the look of, very lacking in features. Do you guys manage Printix or is it provided by your printer suppliers? -
Thanks all for suggestions, tried all/most of what you suggested and no luck... will just have to keep moving 2-3 folders at a time. Not looking forward to moving the 100k items folder...

Can't seem to get it to work, it's not moving files between tenancies, files staying on same tenant just another SharePoint site.
-
Will have a look, a lot of tools seem to help to move data up to the cloud but not between the same cloud! Luckily file size isnt an issue, only 32GB worth of files but is a limit of the amount of files you can move...
-
Hi All, I'm currently in the process of moving 615,000* files from one SharePoint to another. But is taking a long time, about an hour to move 2 folders (of which there are 200+). I've tried using the copy function in the web interface but takes ages, I've tried the OneDrive client syncing, downloading and copying to new one, this is a bit faster but requires more input. Does anyone know of any tools that will speed this up? *Reason i'm moving in case you're wondering: The company syncs 4 SharePoint sites by default, someone decided to stick a ton of gigapans in a default SharePoint people sync, thus everyone has to sync all these files constantly! Moving to it's own dedicated SharePoint so only the people that need them have to sync them!

Papercut Hive - The horror story you've been waiting for?
DalekSec replied to TSheward_MM's topic in Cloud Services
Not Edu (anymore) Had a demo of it yesterday and looked good, hoping to have a PoC here. As currently we have 6 unmanaged MFPs and cloud only! Hive is the only system i found so far that says it can do what i want! Will let you know if we have similar issues. -
The Queen is dead, Long live the King. Found myself more effected than this that i'd thought i'd be. Cried when news was announced and again this morning listening to the radio.

Cost of living crisis 2022 - what have you cut back on?
DalekSec replied to Ditto's topic in General Chat
Simple. dont use the oven! We've hardly used it over the heatwave sticking to cold foods and salads. Also you must have a better oven, if you dont pre-heat ours you end up with cold food! (Which helps with the above statement i guess) -

Strange one...We have a new fleet of laptops going from HP ProBooks to Dell Latitude 3520s.Using the same Autopilot build as before, no real changes. Tested all the laptops etc before deployment.4 of the 6 new users so far have had issues with 1) Outlook stuck on loading profile, 2)Teams file tab just stuck spinning and 3)Not being able to save to OneDrive/Sharepoint Restart normally fixes this but then comes back again after another power cycle or 2. What's even more confusing is we pushed out 4 new Surface pro 7+ same build and had 0 issues.Drivers all up to date on the Dell, Windows and Office up to date, BIOS up to date. Currently uninstalling all the Dell bloatware to see if that is the cause but clutching at straws a bit.Anyone have any idea what's going on!

First thing to do is figure out what macbook it actually is, you should have a model number on the bottom which if you google will tell you.

Android version of AirTag maybe then? Those even work in North Korea
