  1. 2 NAS's that have 100TB each, old NAS that is around 50TB. the 2 100TB are now being replaced, as moved to sharepoint over lockdown. With 2 hosts with 10TB local storage
  2. Very Small Rocks? Churches? Cider! Cider?
  3. If she weighs the same as a duck.... she's a witch?
  4. Can you not give them a login to the WiFi system that only has access to the guest pass creation? That's what our reception has and explained to them the guidelines on adding someone to the wifi
  5. This is possible, depends on your WiFi system Any tom dick or harry could scan the code and join your wifi, no audit log of who's on it. We take the name of whoever joins the network for logs of who's on our system
  6. Not going this yeah, but sure some will be available during the next EDIT
  7. I raise you the naming right to my firstborn
  8. NetSupport have invented Time Travel confirmed
  9. This is why i like hedges, they don't blow over! We have hedges on 2 sides and a fence on the rear, which we own but no neighbour the other side! Just a bunch of garages
  10. ... we do
  11. It's not so much this, but teaching pupils the industry standard. If you go to work in music tech places in the outside world the majority will have logic. So what's the point in teaching them music editing software that they will not use in the workspace, won't look good when they apply for jobs and i don't know a lot about music tech at unis but my guess is it's logic again
  12. AFIK M1 macs don't come with anything other than flash storage now.
  13. Agreed, when i WFH i use my MacBook over my work laptop, the RDP client is night and day different
  14. Me three, before i setup our mac suite i had 0 apple products, i then brought myself a second hand MacBook just after doing the suite as i wanted to learn more... few years down the line....i now have an ... iPhone, Apple Watch, Apple TV, AirPods, New MacBook and HomePod...
  15. Macs are not hard to understand, a lot of people put off them as they don't use them. They are fairy simple. I went from knowing pretty much 0 about Macs to setting up a MDM and a suite in about a couple weeks. Things you need: A decent MDM. Jamf or Mosyle (Budget depending), patience (don't be a grump and be 'I DONT LIKE MACS SO I WONT SUPPORT THIS'), Apple School Manager and DEP are also your friends. It's way simpler to setup a Mac suite from 0 than a windows one! Ours are AD joined, LDAP with Mosyle then gives off the various restrictions. You don't need to be professionally trained, you just need an open mind! I wasn't and i now support the suites. Chomebooks are a far greater evil trust me.
  16. So... i'm just lucky then?
  17. Don't know if im just lucky or... but for the last 5? years i've just done the updates day after patch Tuesday and never had any serious issues!
  18. Not going to lie, probably play Age of Empires 2 and not make the most of the horsepower, only thing i miss since going to Mac!
  19. 1st attempt of using photoshop on a Mac went better than my iPads! Roll up and get your picture taken with the chuc...... ICT Direct brothers! Edit: I did see online you can already get the 'two meter two you' cardboard cutouts on Amazon, cut off Barry's head, cover up Pauls head with Dave's, stick the ICT Direct logo on it = winning!
  20. According to their documentation: Recommended Processor Intel® Xeon® E3-1226 V3 @ 3.30GHz Memory 8 GB of RAM Operating System Microsoft® Windows 7 (64-bit) Video Card Intel® HD Graphics P4600 High Performance Processor Intel® Core™ i7-6700K @ 4GHz Memory 16 GB of RAM Operating System Microsoft® Windows 7 (64-bit) Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX1070 Any 3000 series should be fine i'd imagine Edit: Most likely cheaper to buy a cheap refurb desktop and stick a GPU in it. Then access it remotly from laptop
  21. Don't have any issues with them, used them for last 4 or so years and have mainly been set and forget! If i ever have any issues their support has always been top notch! Use them for iPads, Macs and TVs! Not iPhones though as has found the client drains the battery fast.
  22. Few ideas in the pipe line, just need to find the time to dig out my laptop!
