Hello all,
I was hoping I could find a little insight into this problem I am seeing with a number of our HDMI audio that is going through a projector.
Here is the setup:
Dell Latitude 5520 to a USB-C Dell WD19S docking station.
From there an HDMI cable is run to a wall plate, which is then in turn run to an NEC NP-MC453X LCD Projector.
From the projector sound is routed to a set of SmartBoard SBA speakers using a stereo to RCA splitter.
The issue is that the sound coming out of the projector is causing distortion/pops/clicks.
I have done the footwork and eliminated everything in between the comuter and the projector, I have even hooded up a second laptop with a different model AND OS and still get the distortion.
So I guess my question is, where does go when trying to fix audio if it seems to be the projector that is causing the issue? Could the digital audio converter on the projector be the issue? If so how does one remedy this?
Thanks ahead of time.
