  1. Adobe recommend SSDs now, i wouldn't use HDD for anything other than data storage now days. SSDs or ideally NVMes are the only answer to this. (Or a NAS raided correctly)
  2. Found this website earlier, had to whip up a win 7 vm to access an old NVR! https://dl.malwarewatch.org/windows/
  3. I think its been this way for at least 4 years now (depends on model), It's easy/cheap for adapters i tend to stick to Anker never had one fail. - - - Updated - - - Macs and Intune are not fun together, do yourself a favour and get Mosyle in before you realise you need it.
  4. What's your views on strange women lying in ponds distributing swords as a system of government?
  5. DM'd you
  6. You can do this via Intune: https://www.anoopcnair.com/microsoft-edge-favorites-using-intune-profile/
  7. I can 3D print you the rings if needed, thats what i do here when i've ran out! Keyboard cant help on though! Also i work/live in mid dorset so easy to collect!
  8. AC2 + ASM + Mosyle = Winner Unsure is Mosyle still has free tier but its worth cost if not! You will 100% want them managed though regardless.

  12. Such sad news, always been a country fan and a big fan of his, only Willie Nelson left of the Highwaymen now!
  13. A thread for all things 3D Printing, About a year ago I nabbed a old Prusa Mk3 that was gathering does in one of our offices and started to learn how it works. As over Covid i did a Fusion 360 course and learned how to use it, I've now put these skills to work and 2 months ago i managed to persuade the business to buy a Bambu X1E (Well i wanted a Mk4 but CTO is a Bambu fanboy so wasnt going to win that battle!) And now i've just got signed off for another X1E (Tried for a Prusa XL but no!). So now I have in my arsenal 2x Bambu X1E, Prusa Mk3 and a Prusa Mini+ (home printer, saving to get a Mk4s with mmu). So far according to my print job spreadsheet we have saved over £7k+ this year in me printing off parts we use. Does anyone else out there have a 3D printing interest, be good to have others to chat to it about!
  14. This, RADIUS is pretty much industry standard now.
  15. Fellow 18th-er here! Hope you guys had a good birthday!
  16. Can i be first to mention that London is not the south
  17. First port of call (pun intended) is to find what port and vlan its plugged into then you can work out the rest. Also look at the traffic and activity on the port to see if it is actually being used and data going though it.
  18. If a dumb switch is plugged into a managed switch which is on an untagged/access VLAN then the dumb switch will use the VLAN of that port. Find the VLAN ID, go to the router or DHCP server and find what range it's using
  19. ooo cheers will give it a go!
  20. Hi All, Currently looking into a way to backup all our network switches, we use FS switches (which i hate) which may limit the choices as they are all re-badged switches from other OEMS, What do you guys use or do?
  21. Having this exact same issue now, seems to fix when i do an Environment Scan on the AP but this results in it restarting so can only do out of hours. Ideally be good for them all to do a scan every night. Used Ruckus for last 5 years before joining here and i can easily say, i hate UniFi.
  22. I have an Admin and non admin account, Techs use PIM so they only have 1 account but have to activate their admin rights (azure only)
  23. Afternoon, We're looking into upgrading our fleet out Lenovo T480's the issue is currently the lack of suitable replacements i can find in the refurb market. The T480's are fool proof, 2 SODIMM slots, up to 3 batteries every part easily replaceable. But now the CPU is starting to show its age for our users. I'm starting to realise i may not get all the functionally in a newer model now, we've trailed a few other models, T14,T14s and a X1 Yoga all of which have too big of draw backs. Be it a small performance gain or soldered RAM (its a must that it has upgradeable RAM as we have a wide rang of job roles ranging from 8gb to 64gb). Wanted to stay with Lenovo but looks more likely wont be the case! Thinking of going ham and go down the leasing route to see how much new models would cost (anyone know a decent leasing company?) Thanks Dalek
