The colours are related to strength not temperature. It's blue for laptops, red requires heat to break it's bond. There are higher temperature types of Loctite available in both red and blue if required but standard Loctite of any colour is good for up to 150c, there is also purple (low strength Loctite).

No, glow plugs are only used initially to heat up the compression chamber. Diesel engines use compression ignition not a spark. If the gf doesn'y have issues starting in the morning leave them alone. You do not want to snap one off in the engine. My Focus has done 150k and is still on it's original glow plugs.

I love my Hoganasmobler 562. It was picked by an ergonomics specialist and designed so I can sit and move and stretch at the same time. It's still going strong after 10 years and has paid for its self many times over. I've even fallen asleep in it once or twice.

It's not lost yet. Remove the circuit board. Usually screwed on with a few torx screws. There will be two sets of copper coated contacts that become tarnished over time resulting in poor contact. To clean them, rub gently with a pencil eraser. No guarantees this is the cause or will help but i've saved data off a few hard drives this way. Booting from a Linux Live CD has also helped. What make hard drive is it ?
