We have 12 MFDs dotted around School, would prefer less but the site/buildings dictate. Pull print queue. Previously we had over 100 desktop printers so something had to give!

Having issues since a summer upgrade to Windows 10 pro, we have also started to use a proxy again moving away from lightspeed to surfprotect. Students load the program and it freezes, they can continue to use all other software packages on the machine however netbeans is just frozen. Thanks in advance

The average on hold wait time this term for us has been 27 minutes. Very poor customer service imo.

Got to admit they we have had numerous issues with sync this year, I must say that some of those were down to duplicates on SIMS. I must say the guys on the helpdesk are really helpful! Yes teachers love it here too.

So the Hikvision camera records audio too?

Could I add more cameras to this at a later date? Does the software allow for this? Thanks for your swift response! Also does this camera record sound?

Hi Guys, Our headteacher has asked me to look into installing a camera into reception as a 'security' measure for the receptionist. We don't anything that is going to cost too much, to be honest I was thinking of a simple camera linked to a computer to record. Has anyone done this or something similar? what products are out there freebies? Do I need to inform the public about CCTV in operation im guessing so some wording would be good. Thanks in advance!

Do I have to put any offline synchronize settings in?..The drive is available offline but nothing synchronizes.

Need some help setting up assigned offline drives allowing staff to take their laptops home and still access their home folders, then when back in school the files automatically synchronize. Made changes in the GPO for 'Specify administratively assigned offline files' and set the UNC path to their home directories but no joy. Thanks in advance.

Yep, I have that same issue here. I have managed to redirect the desktop however a whole host of other icons seem to appear too. Windows 10 Pro version 1607.

We had the same issue and it was down to a trailing ' \' when redirecting disk cache directory and Chrome user data directory. Hopefully this will help.

Hi Guys, I've got to create a shared drive (I map them through Group Policy...Windows 2008r2) for students to drop their work into which also allows staff to access and mark their work. The students need access to save but not view any other users work. Is it possible?, if not how do you guys do it? Cheers

We currently use Spaceclaim and yes it is a great package, students like it and staff have taken to it well. We have tried to package it and roll it out via MSI but with no success. When contacting spaceclaim in California they have advised that it will not install over a network. We have setup the "floating user license" but this again requires a per machine installation. We decided to install on specific machines rather than all. Chris
