'Stuck Pixels'?? - Can this be fixed?

Looking at the alignment of the white dots it looks like a faulty DMD rather than dust. It's made up of lots of tiny mirrors and some get stuck. -
I'd run MemTest86 from a CD to check the memory. What client is it ?

Now all they have to do is work out how to capture an asteroid, invent super duper strong cables that can hold half a billion tons plus (going on the weight of the Burj Khlaifa). They also have to convince people it's not going to fall out of the sky. It would have been more credible if it was built on the moon. The Burj Khalifa cost $1.5 Billion, the construction costs alone for this concept will be sky high/astronomical. The physics don't add up either, the skyscraper/earthscraper will be affected by gravity yet somehow the asteroid in space is not. It's a great way for a small architecture firm to get their name put about though even if it is a couple of days early.

I'm guessing the LED used was an uncommon 12v LED such 5mm Red LED | Maplin Resistors are used with LEDs to limit current not drop voltage. -
You can't install Kodi on a Chromecast. It doesn't have the hardware onboard.

Be careful using IPA to clean plastic, it can take the shine off permanently. AF foam cleaner does a better job without damaging the plastic. -
Try a new battery first. I use replacebase.co.uk about a tenner. I've never had any problems with items bought from them. Getting the charging IC changed would be about £40.
-
The charging IC on the board can become faulty. Mainly caused by voltage fluctuations from car chargers or non genuine chargers. There was also a 10.2.1 update that was released that sorted some charging issues, my daughter's 6 would turn off if the battery got lowish before she updated.

It did, but the gf didn't like the knowledge somebody had been through her stuff and the dog was not the same after. And of course my insurance went up the following year.
-
By the time the burglars realise you have nothing, they've already smashed in your window/door, traumatised the dog and emptied your stuff everywhere. I know as it has happened to me.

I don't claim to be a CCTV expert although I did spend six months last year working at CCTV place. Swann stuff is cheap and whilst it does produce a picture, even their expensive cameras don't come close to the quality of IP cameras. I have Hikvision here, my 3MP camera was less than £100 and has zero image issues. There were so many Swann returns, poor mains adapters burning up components inside the DVR and camera failures. The software on the DVR is also rubbish. Hikvison cameras can use a PC as a recorder.

Anyone bought from led-projectors.co.uk ?

The address listed is a residential one and the "screenshots/examples" are not photos of the projected screen. Not available on Amazon any more where it has one mediocre review detailing how it's not 3000 lumens. -

Driverless cars - How will this change transport?

So a car with far more processing power than the rocket that landed man on the moon can't figure out how to power slide and take out the both ? I don't think the tech is ready for the mainstream just yet. -
Have you run the diagnostic software for the hard drive and checked for bad sectors ? If you have the tool it might be worth taking off the PCB from the hard drive and checking the contacts for oxidisation.

If I've read correctly, you've swapped everything but the hard drive ?

The controller modules are available for about £200. SmartBoard Shop - Replacement Smart Board Pens and Erasers, Smart Boards, Cables It sounds more like the person sent to have a look at it couldn't be bothered/didn't know how to diagnose the issue.

+1 for Hikvision.

Faulty memory can also cause restarting. When you say you've changed the complete units over, do you mean you've swapped the power supply out for a different one ? What's the model of the motherbaord ?
-
I'd suspect power supply first. How old is it ?

ABS gives off styrene which is possibly carcinogenic. PLA can give off fumes also, it depends on the composition. Ventilation is recommended. It doesn't want to be in a draft from something like an open window as it could cause layer issues.

That suggests its the inputs cables or components picking up the EMI and not the speaker cables.
