1. It could be argued that sitting in front of a monitor at work or at home for hours would have the same adverse effect. That being said I've never actually found any scientific research that suggests an actual correlation between eyesight degeneration and how long you look at screens! (old CRT screens on the other hand..) I'll buy an oculus once there's a consumer version, head tracking is an awesome immersive experience so I can only imagine that the rift is even better.
2. Here we go, nice and minimalist. Scratched out my notes so you all can't see how little work is on my to-do list! The wallpapers may not look aligned in the screenshot but they've actually been edited to match with my monitors (my primary is bigger than my 2 other screens) so they align perfectly when viewed properly. You're totally looking for NSFW ones, aren't you..

Which Software?

If you're hardcore, then Notepad++. If you like pretty, minimal awesome things then Sublime Text 3. The amount of features in Sublime Text 3, I can't recommend it enough.
4. 22nd November is when the beta will officially end - the server will also be wiped (so you'll lose all your credits and ship!). Testers will be able to play beyond 22nd November up until release, but anything they do during this time will be kept on release.
5. I'm absolutely loving the actual content, the only concern I have is the multiplayer. From what I understand, their multiplayer model is p2p, based on player bubbles or 'islands' - you will only see the closest 32* people to you at one time. The fact it's p2p is causing a lot of problems for players but that's not really where my concerns lie, I can deal with some lag etc - the main issue for me is that I want to play with my friends and other people I know who play ED - and you can't really do that because of the way the combat model interacts with multiplayer. * figure may change, last time I checked it was accurate. What is your opinion on the current state of ED? does it live up to the Elite legacy? Frontier are aiming for a "before 2015" release, which means there's only a few months left. Do you think it 'is in' or 'will be in' an acceptable state for release?

7. Arreks => Arreks Who would've thought it!
8. All you can do is keep trying high technology systems, the outfitting market changes as well every now and then so eventually you'll find one! It's like shooting solid gold isn't it..
9. Don't worry, I've seen various episodes and I was pretty much only just born when it went off air so age doesn't really matter!
10. Plus some of us wear spectacles and being forced to wear an extra clunky pair of glasses is just uncomfortable!
11. That sounds amazing, I wish my local vue did it!
12. The thrustmaster HOTAS is one of the best budget sets in my opinion, you wouldn't regret buying (I use mine with War Thunder, Elite & DCS)
13. I currently play on the Mobius private group, it has over 500 players but was created for players to test (or play) without the fear of other players blowing you up (obviously some people want to try pvp/pirating so you should play open if you want to do that). Link to thread Instructions (taken from thread linked above) If you want to make the transition between Solo play and Open play but you're scared of what hostility the vast depths of space will bring, it's a nice group with friendly commanders.
14. I dispose of my weee in the toilet.
15. I've tried all the current ships so far (except Imperial Dropship) and Viper is still my favourite. It's had it's turning ability etc reduced since the last Beta release but that can be fixed if you get some upgraded thrusters, it's a beauty. You'd probably earn more money mining/trading at first until you can handle taking out anacondas and the like, though. I had to fully upgrade my thrusters and shields on my Viper before I could make decent money from it. *edit* I've made an Elite: Dangerous group, in case anyone wanted to meet up/discuss tips/shoot eachother or whatever.
16. I feel relieved that I live in a quiet suburb after hearing all these stories, I've never really had a problem with any delivery company in particular - though I have had a few idiots leave cardboard packages out on the doorstep in the rain!
17. Taylor Swoft is great, it's Taylor Swift* we have a problem with! *I don't actually mind her, wouldn't go out of my way to listen/see her though.
18. Doing 'take this message' style trade missions are by far the easiest ones you can grab - sometimes you'll be lucky and have a few going to the same place. The bulletin board does change often as well, so make sure you keep checking it whenever you dock. Well you can get your exact ship back if you pay enough, insurance is always there.
19. It will show in the Navigation panel when you're close to one, fly around the planet Eranin 4 and get relatively close - you'll notice a Federal Distress beacon which most people think counts towards warzone missions but it doesn't. It will either be "Conflict Zone (High Intensity)" or "Conflict Zone (Low Intensity"). Federal Distress beacons are quite good for earning cash when you're in a sidewinder or eagle because the enemies are always sidewinders (be sure to choose a faction). Conflict Zones generally have Cobras etc and can be much more challenging.
20. You need to find a "Conflict Zone" - there are some around Eranin (probably Eranin 4 planet) You change your IGN on the Elite website and running silent is quite easy once you understand the concept, running silent closes off vents etc and turns off most non-vital parts of the ship. But because the vents are closed, heat builds up internally - this is why it's unorthodox to run silent if you don't have a heatsink launcher. Exactly this. A lot of people are complaining about mining, but if you put the time and effort into finding a good location with high metallic content - you could end up making 100-250k per half an hour. Same goes for trading, but it's understandable for people to get annoyed/bored and stop doing it.. My advice for everyone who plays Elite is to look into EDTracker - budget head tracking made by 3 people on the Elite beta forum. It's absolutely amazing and considering how expensive TrackIR/Oculus Rifts are it's well worth it if you want to be more immersed.
21. So kawaii! i'll get them eventually.
22. Force incognito mode? do they need to be logged into the browser for any educational reasons or are they just doing it because they can?
23. Email, Facebook and CCTV - the 3 most important things!
24. We use Clevertouch (~10 of them) and the hardware itself is amazing! most of the teachers here still prefer ActivStudio software than the Lynx/Wordwall though and that's after multiple training sessions on the new software.. ActivStudio works fine on the screens though so it's not a big deal.
25. Literally just figured out the issue, feel bad for taking this long to notice. The Teacher had zoomed in a lot in the Lynx software.. resetting it back to 100% fixed it. Thanks @Robx
