Well in our situation, we wanted to avoid changing passwords in AD - so the students now use their Fronter (Atomwide/USO) passwords. They don't have the permission to change it.
-
You're better off posting a thread about it to be honest! there's quite a few of us who know C# who can help, but it's always good to get different opinions.

I didn't even know about this group until now

Never heard of it, and I'm a big MMO'er! is it good?

Wouldn't mind an i7 to finally upgrade my heavily oc'd i5! but it'll have to wait a few months.. bought the parents a laptop and the girlfriend a whole range of stuff. I'll treat myself to a takeaway and be my own Santa. I'll get you something Bomp, repping the Edugeek family.

Automated broadband speed testing
Arreks replied to mats's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Is the 'minimum speed' they promised you in writing? -
This was where I was trying to lean, couldn't find any deals though. The 750TI requires less power but gives more performance. The lesser power draw makes it more suitable for low to mid-end desktops with smaller power supplies.
-
If you could stretch the budget for the card by about a tenner you could get a GTX 750 ti which has a bit more bang, other than that the R7 would probably be the best option.

Well obviously everyone's case may differ. I've had to use my mobile phone twice to call ambulances, one was a serious car accident with no payphones nearby (I don't think there are any payphones near me at all actually). Needless to say I'm not sure whether or not the people who were involved in the accident were even alright afterwards, but it definitely warranted me using my mobile phone. I would never be one of those people who assume that someone else will call the emergency services!
-
Out of curiosity, what would you do if you weren't at home (I take it you have a landline phone at home) and an accident or emergency occurred?
-
Looks about right!

It's okay if you're into the repetitive combat, if you like the Call of Duty or Battlefield games then you'll probably enjoy it.

At least: 1 capital letter, 1 number, >6 chars For Staff that is, for Students they just use their USO passwords so one less thing they need to remember (and forget).
-
Thanks for the links, my other half may like some of those designs

I'd probably enjoy that, I go Airsoft quite often so it'd be a nice change! Just wish they had more venues. Are the zombies wearing any protection?
-
I take it headshots aren't allowed?

VeryPC Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight.

[ipad] Tranferring files from iPad to PC or network...
Arreks replied to Koldov's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
If only, I'd love to destruct the iPads here.. -
Just tried: Got the 'danger ahead', logged in, did the usual 5 second redirect then went straight to the website. Didn't have any problems.

it's a continuation, the difference being that the originals had real science in them from a paleontological point of view whereas this movie is just making it all up as they go along so there's "more action and cool looking stuff and and hybrid dinosaurs woooo see this movie"
-
I wish they had a venue near me! I'd love to do that.

With BB's or paint balls?
-
Sounds like a really non-secure password then!

When it comes to software used in education, they can charge as much as they want because they know some schools will still buy it. I've never heard of it but taking a glance, it doesn't seem like it's worth it (the teachers here probably wouldn't even use it).
