We are looking to use JAMF as our iPad MIS and have a question about how apps are charged. We are aware that if you use the same apple ID to buy an app then its only charged for once. If we upgrade to JAMF MIS do you buy one app licence for school or are you charged for each app installed on each device?

We have a number of trollies in use and use the cable tie/velcro solution. However I have a trolly that is just 2 shelves so I drilled a whole where each laptop is placed and have cable tied the PSU into position at the back of the shelf with just the plug coming forward.

Likewise we had a price increase from RM, I notice NS Optimum are offering a broadband service with netsweeper, anyone got any experiance of either?

I use 2 monitors a 22" and a 24", 1 in portrait (Documents) and 1 in landscape (Web), it works for me.

Sadly this is an issue for me now, annoying thing is I am trying to add a second email address to office outlook that is working perfectly, however when i try to add the second account I am getting told my web browser needs updating. Runnning the most upto date version I can find. The test email autoconfiguration feature in outlook .... doh I dont believe it...issue resolved all by its self...................mmmmm dont you just love Microsoft!!!!!!!!

that's good to know that we can request self service DNS, I am aware we have the other records set up as I requested them when we moved to office 365, I have just become aware of the DMARC record so asked for that and was told "My 3rd line colleagues have reviewed this and they have confirmed DMARC setup isn't a Office 365 tenancy configuration service that RM can offer at the moment. That has already been submitted as a product improvement suggestion from here; allow this to be considered for future product development. We also use Office 365, we do have the SPF record set up, I have also asked for a DMARC records as it is also a DNS Text record but its not something RM provide at the moment. Can I ask everyone that has a Domain registered with RM to request a NEW IDEA (RM Unify launch pad) of setting up the DMARC as standard for school domains. Hopefully this will help reduce the numbers of spam and fishing emails that have been on the increase lately.

ouch just had the bill for the second year of Desktop Education, almost £800 rise over last year and here was me thinking Microsoft where giving education establishments a reasonable deal. At 3 Grand I could buy 10 more laptops with licence stickers, would only need to worry about office then but at £60 per laptop per year even that's excessive (£3 Gs for 48 laptops and 1 server)

Just upgraded to the UBF option, only day it could be done was 21st, last day of school term so will have to wait for students returning before I can test in ernest!!1 Watch this space

I only have a small number of iPads to you (60 to 300) but have not found a way in Meraki to get the apps to auto update, every so often I have to go around and manually update them via the apps store or delete and insert new in meraki apps management and then install them again. its a pain but better than adding each app manaually
