  2. Well in that case we should probably stop calling 'handouts to lazy sods' benefits, and start calling it by what it is - handouts to lazy sods
  3. This is who I use for personal hosting: Ariotek | UK Web Hosting as it should be.... Great company - never down, and support is great
  4. What are the backward compatibility characteristics of the Ultrium format? The LTO Ultrium compatibility is defined with two concepts demonstrating investment protection: 1) An Ultrium drive can read data from a cartridge in its own generation and two prior generations. 2) An Ultrium drive can write data to a cartridge in its own generation and to a cartridge from the immediate prior generation in the prior generation format. For example: - An Ultrium format Generation 5 drive will read and write data on an Ultrium format Generation 4 cartridge as specified by the Generation 4 format and read data on an Ultrium format Generation 3 drive. - An Ultrium format Generation 4 drive will read and write data on an Ultrium format Generation 3 cartridge as specified by the Generation 3 format and read data on an Ultrium format Generation 2 drive Src: Ultrium - LTO Technology - About LTO - FAQs But obviously not the other way around. I suppose you could think of it like trying to play a PS3 game on a PS2
  5. I was gutted when they told me it was fake. I died a little inside...
  6. Maybe it's a typo, quite like the 2 I noticed in your post hahaha
  7. It doesn't take much to turn a simple question (how to go vanilla without wiping) into an RM v Vanilla thread. If people want to contribute to those topics why not find a thread about that, and stop turning these threads into the same discussion (is it about once a week these discussions come up?!)
  8. Just noticed where I've posted this, duh! Could mods move it when they get a second please? Thanks,
  9. Looking to trade my PS3 for possibly an Xbox 360. I have: PS3 40GB (about 2 years old I think) 2 wireless (non-shock) controllers Fallout 3 Fallout New Vegas Fifa (latest one, whatever number that is!) Borderlands Little Big Planet Couple of other games that I haven't played in a while so have forgotten So, if anybody wants to trade, please make me an offer. Also, if anyone wants to buy make me an offer as I'll just buy a 360 with the money.
  10. To me, this honestly sounds like a headache. Someone having to use local profiles? What's that about! Seriously, you have two options. Stick with CC3 or go vanilla with a complete new install. There is no half way house of removing the RM stuff in my eyes - that is just begging for a call from Mr Argghhh Why The Frick Did I Do That?!
  11. Rather than company names, why not use different scenario's? So instead put down things like: 1) Company claims to be from Microsoft but then continues by trying to sell shoddily made USB pens 2) Company claims to be your best mate to get past the call filtering, then tries to sell you toner 3) Dads on the phone for you, and he's got some great news, do you want to take it? Yeah, go on you say, but the great news is from a guy called Phat Max who is offering a whopping 99% off consumables. And so on
  12. Wouldn't even try, you will probably encounter an array of problems. An ex-colleague tried to remove all the CC3 components from a laptop to make it a Vanilla client here, and it ran dog slow with various problems - so really wouldn't suggest doing that to live servers. Plan, plan, and then plan. Once you've planned it, plan some more and then take a holiday. When you come back, plan some more and then flatten the network and start from scratch. It really will be a whole world easier, and you'll have a stable network from it (not saying RM is not stable, saying that removing the RM stuff from the servers could make it unstable).
  13. We use Joomla for ours, but after setting up many fully functioning websites with WordPress I wished we'd done the same for the school site. Definately WordPress is my recommendation, just makes everything easy, especially the installation of themes, plugins, and updates.

    Friday

This holiday is costing me £15 per night, including the dog. Cheap as chips

    Friday

Well, we got up super early this morning and packed the car. It's absolutely full to the brim of camping gear, and there's a little space left in the boot for the dog to jump in and away we go. We're booked in until Monday but may end up staying longer.
  16. Ah, I figured it out yesterday. Dodgy install media. Reburned the software and worked.

  18. Of course it does, pretty much every day, and I'd have done exactly the same as @mattx - I feel it would be safer to undertake the vehicle causiously than to have to slam the anchors on.
  19. Don't worry, I actually quite enjoyed the video. People complain about your riding but nobody has yet mentioned that you had various bits of bad driving to manouvre on route, like when that little spam tin pulled out straight into the right hand lane.
  20. The plus side of the video is though, all you people upset with @mattx have seen where he parks his bike, so you can go and 'pay him a visit'.
  21. I'm trying to install SCCM on a Server 2008 R2 box, but it's failing at the same point. SCCM passes the pre-reqs check with no warnings or errors, and installs the first three items then fails on the file installation part. The last bit of the log is: (if you need to see more just ask) <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Found valid source in folder: 'C:\SCCM Updates\' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Found valid source for external dependency file 'msrdcoob_x86.exe' at 'C:\SCCM Updates\' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Checking media: D:\SMSSETUP\Client\i386\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Verifying hash for file 'D:\SMSSETUP\Client\i386\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> File hash check failed for D:\SMSSETUP\Client\i386\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Checking alternate path: C:\SCCM Updates\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Verifying hash for file 'C:\SCCM Updates\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Verifying signature for file 'C:\SCCM Updates\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Found valid source in folder: 'C:\SCCM Updates\' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Found valid source for external dependency file 'WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe' at 'C:\SCCM Updates\' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Checking media: D:\SMSSETUP\Client\i386\wmirdist.msi <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Verifying hash for file 'D:\SMSSETUP\Client\i386\wmirdist.msi' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> File hash check failed for D:\SMSSETUP\Client\i386\wmirdist.msi <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Checking alternate path: C:\SCCM Updates\wmirdist.msi <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Verifying hash for file 'C:\SCCM Updates\wmirdist.msi' <05-24-2011 16:30:57> Verifying signature for file 'C:\SCCM Updates\wmirdist.msi' <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Found valid source in folder: 'C:\SCCM Updates\' <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Found valid source for external dependency file 'wmirdist.msi' at 'C:\SCCM Updates\' <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Checking media: D:\SMSSETUP\Client\ccmsetup.cab <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Verifying hash for file 'D:\SMSSETUP\Client\ccmsetup.cab' <05-24-2011 16:31:07> File hash check failed for D:\SMSSETUP\Client\ccmsetup.cab <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Checking alternate path: C:\SCCM Updates\ccmsetup.cab <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Verifying hash for file 'C:\SCCM Updates\ccmsetup.cab' <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Verifying signature for file 'C:\SCCM Updates\ccmsetup.cab' <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Found valid source in folder: 'C:\SCCM Updates\' <05-24-2011 16:31:07> Found valid source for external dependency file 'ccmsetup.cab' at 'C:\SCCM Updates\' <05-24-2011 16:31:08> msvcp60.dll is a system protected file, skip the file copy. <05-24-2011 16:31:09> Cannot copy D:\SMSSETUP\AdminUI\XmlStorage\Extensions\Pages\V4SiteSystemsShareDistributionPoint\VirtualAppServerPage.XML to c:\program files (x86)\microsoft configuration manager\adminui\xmlstorage\extensions\pages\v4sitesystemssharedistributionpoint\virtualappserverpage.xml, Win32 error = 1 <05-24-2011 16:31:09> Cannot copy D:\SMSSETUP\AdminUI\XmlStorage\Extensions\Pages\V4SiteSystemsShareDistributionPoint\VirtualAppServerPage.XML to c:\program files (x86)\microsoft configuration manager\adminui\xmlstorage\extensions\pages\v4sitesystemssharedistributionpoint\virtualappserverpage.xml, Win32 error = 1 <05-24-2011 16:31:09> Setup has encountered fatal errors while performing file operations. I'm doing the install offline (don't have internet on this server) so have downloaded the updates to an alternate directory and told the installer where to look. I have installed SQL Server 2008 (Full version, not express, albeit an evaluation for 180 days). Can anybody help?
  22. Well, last night we went to meet the priest to discuss our wedding, and ended up setting a date for next June! Time to get planning, so if anyone has personal recommendations for any wedding services (caterers, bus hire, etc etc) in the Durham/Consett area please let me know.
  23. When I was a kid I used to get in from school, get changed, and then go climbing trees, or building camps, or play football, or cricket. That's the problem with the world today.....
  24. Like Zucker's gives a donkeys neck about education for the kids. All he will care about is the income those 10/11/12 years olds are going to generate for him.
  25. Love the first comment "we ****** up, lets cover it with a big *** bus"
