I've just recently bought one of these for ALOT less than 2K - with 5 250GB SATA hotswaps in for good measure. Just make sure you get the memory upgrade for the raid card if you're planning on running raid5. VERY nice piece of kit - I can highly recommend, have a word with Simon at CPltd (He'll probably be along in a second now I've invoked his name!) and he'll be able to hook you up with a nice price.

Also there are only a few manufacurers in the world that make the actual panels - if they decide that everyone wants widescreens then that's what they'll make the most of, therefore making them cheaper than standard 4:3s. I've ran into this problem while purchasing and have had to bite the bullet and purchase widescreens rather than pay the extra cost for standard format as I couldn't really justify it as best value.
