I agree that we cant let Service Birmingham tell us what and how much we pay for services. I look after 4 Birmingham schools and will join a soft partnership. Five walsall schools are looking to break away and they have already looked at an alternative broadband supplier who can save them £1500 per year and still give them filtering etc..

Give a company called Xirrus a call, ask for Ben Wilson. They do wi fi arrays that will deal with the ammount of users that you have. I have a single array that gives coverage to 7 classrooms and the infant hall. Matt

We use Xirrus - never heard of them before but came in and did a free survey, left us a unit to try! Excellent product, they beat the rest of the market and have even become Microsoft's preferred product. We have a single array that covers the whole of our Infants (6 classrooms, hall, offices) perfect signal. Give them a call

OK... Rack mounted is preferred . .. All OS license's are taken care off, so none required. Storage could be SAS or SATA or even SCSI.... Dell - I did price one of their servers up but havent used Dell in a long time.. Virtual - Had also thought of going down this route but have not played with it before, I have got 2008 Enterprise with Hyper V to load onto it. The more advice the better.. Thanks

Hello, First post so please bare with me!! Have a problem... just undated some PC's to IE7. When a user log's in and runs internet explorer they get asked about the Phishing filter. They say enable and are ok to work. The next time they log in it asks again and is driving them mad. Have logged in under administrator to try and solver problem but IE settings are per user and the group policy does not give the user the rights to change IE settings. So please help, is there a registry fix or anything to get round this! Regards, Matt
