Hah! Windows Memory Erased...!

Ah - thought you were, quotes over here please too!

So basically he has read something here that he doesn't like - fair enough, he is entitled to his own opinion. The fact he 'told the internet' via twitter has been raised... So what? We are being recognised as a authority (of a kind) on a subject and he disagrees, yet again - opinion only. The worst thing we could do is start jumping down his throat screaming blue murder, fine defend ourselves - but do it like the professionals we are. If called to defend ourselves then our professional manner and experience will show through. I know I have my list of companies I don't like but I have my reasons due to my own experience - I wouldn't like to be brought to heel for having them. Calm down dear - It's turned into an advert.

I remember my collegue once being asked by a student to recover a document they'd just closed without bothering to save it... The loud 'thud' of my collegue's head hitting the desk made the student realise this wasn't their finest hour.

Thanks for this - I run a few feeder schools and hadn't heard anything about this. -
I was considering being 'Stuck' on holiday... Thought management wouldn't take too kindly to my not being able to make it back from Skegness though.

That Domino's actually claim to make edible pizza? Although - if you look at the other hand on the silhouette there is also the strong impression of another 5 fingered + 1 thumbed hand...!

Glad you took the time to make sure that one made sense - converting it to GrumbleDook'd be somewhat worrying:p -
Ahhh - I've encountered this. It inspired the following email:

I have an 'Evil' Goatee - that sometimes ends up as long stubble when I can't be bothered to shave. How will people ever trust in our abilities as geeks without a batch of facial hair?

I'd reccomend at least going for it - I went through the same kind of thing a while back, barely scraping through living on my own, and went for the job I'm in currently. As it came round closer to the date of the interview I started to feel a bit uncomfortable with a potential move to a place I didn't know, with different challenges and all the stress attached. Ended out as one of the best things I ever did, especially if you take your concerns and look at them in a slightly different light. By moving out of my comfort zone it allowed me to grow professionally, taking on new challenges and increasing my depth of experience. It also allowed me, with my previous experience of being ICT support and the details of the role to put my foot down immediately so people didn't take me for granted/treat me like cr@p. Now - I'm treated as a professional, and through having banter with the staff they actually see me as a human being rather than some kind of mindless automaton. This alone makes the day go much easier - even enjoyable. (Not saying it was like that all the time at my old place - but you know how some days can get you down) There still are the fair share of bad days and painful to deal with staff - but you're going to get those wherever you go. Not saying this'd be the same for you - but thats how it worked for me.

Correct grammar and punctuation are important for emphasis and making other people understand your meaning... Apologies to all, but I'm going to delve a little into slang (Or a more relaxed way of speaking) to demonstrate my point... Right: "That is a cool-ass hat!" Wrong: "That is a cool ass-hat!" See? Without the correct use of punctuation our meaning is totally de-railed and our meaning misunderstood. -
Pluggin' da hole.

I had to watch that first one a couple of times as I missed a bit the first time on telly... He's holding a gun! Eh?

UPS Batteries – Any know a company who will take them away?
korifugi replied to FN-GM's topic in General Chat
I'm sure if you leave it outside your office in a box labelled something like "300 hr laptop battery" then it'll soon go missing! -
