  1. Sound like me
  2. I have now tried installing the profile by going to /mydevices but that does not work either. I have spoke to RM and they have unblocked all the ports which profile manager needs to work.
  3. At least you have a window
  4. How do i grab the logs from xcode?
  5. Thats a good idea. Will have a look tomorrow.
  6. I have created an enrollment profile down the left hand side of profile manager then i download it and import it into configurator. It just sits there in apple configurator and does nothing.
  7. Can ping the server and can now access my devices and enroll. Still will not work on configurator though.
  8. Even though they are fresh out of the box
  9. No i cannot even get to the enroll page...
  10. Hi all The school have got some new iPads which need setting up. With the previous ipads i set them up using configurator and the meraki as the mdm. However I want to tie everything under one roof and use the mac i use to manage the imacs with to also manage the ipads with, so in theory use Profile Manager. I have created an enrollment profile in profile manager and then imported it to apple configurator but when it tries to install i get error codes "4001" which means profile installation failed and error code "-1001" which means the request timed out. Wi-Fi is the first profile that i install. This never happens with Meraki's enrollment Any ideas Thanks
  11. Same problem here. Racking our brains in the office don't know if it could be a port issue.
  12. If a student is working with a visitor then sometimes visitor badges are taken off and left on the desk. The student could look at the details which are on the card.
  13. Should have been more clear we will change the password of guest username e.g. guest 01 guest 02. The guest and student wireless will have no password on it but will need to be authenticated via AD to get access. They will all have the same password but we can still pull up reports if something strange has been searched on the network. We are not worried about the fact of a kid getting there hands on the guest pass and seeing the ad username and password. What we have concerns about is if then kids use that ad username and password on the guest network instead of the student one they will still have filtered access but we won't know which kid has searched for what.
  14. Any more ideas? We though about just changing the password each week and giving the new password to the office every monday morning.
  15. Could the child be accessing control centre by swiping up and turning off the wifi. That would explain it losing connectivity.
  16. At the moment we are setting up a transparent proxy to be used in the school. When it is up and running the students in theory will be able to connect to the student network and just enter there ad username and password and be allowed onto the internet. We would like also to have a guest network. The idea at the moment is to print off new visitor badges with a username and password on the back of each one. So once they are signed into school, reception will give them the visitor badge and then that is it. The only worry at the moment is if the kids somehow manage to get hold or see a username on a badge they could just log into the guest network instead. Just wondering how other people have a guest network set up. Thanks
  17. have you had a go with it yet?
