  1. She isn't in NOVA as she isn't a regular teacher. None of our cover supervisors are in NOVA as they don't have a regular timetable.
  2. No. She has no permanent timetable. She only covers. Those lessons she is covering for aren't appearing on her Homepage timeline. We have other cover supervisors in the same situation and the lessons they are covering for are appearing fine (they appear as yellow blocks).
  3. Hi guys, One of our cover supervisors isn't seeing her cover on the Homepage timeline, nor is she seeing it under Take Register. When she searches for herself under Take Register, her cover classes appear and she can register them. It's just not appearing on her timeline at all. I've checked her permissions and the timetabler has checked everything on her timetable. Everything is in place the same as other cover supervisors. She is the only one who can't see it. Any help would be appreciated. Ta!
  4. That's already there. I already see the full name in the comments. It's just in the ticket list under the "Created By" column do I see the email address instead.
  5. Hi guys, We use the helpdesk in Spiceworks. I'm just wondering if there's a way to display the ticket creator's actual name in the ticket list rather than their email address. I've read around that it should but, for some reason, it doesn't. Their name is displayed in comments within the ticket but not in the ticket list. Cheers. P.S. Please move this if it's in the wrong thread.
  6. *ahem* Or pronouncing in a Northern accent, which I do. We say it properly.
  7. You're welcome!
  8. ... or does anyone else secretly start singing "Lock the Taskbar" to the tune of "Rock the Casbah" by The Clash every time they see it?
  9. Saw it yesterday. Decided that an IT support department would run like clockwork if only we had some minions! Imagine sending those little yellow things out to fix printers and the like. Awesome.
  10. After much messing about, the netbook finally decided to right itself. Went through about six different drivers to get there but it was eventually sorted out. Thanks for all your suggestions.
  11. I'll have a look at this but I can't actually see any of the BIOS because of the problem.
  12. Started an online support conversation with an HP tech.
  13. Just flashed the BIOS. Nothing.
  14. This is with a HP netbook and I've just found it is the same with the BIOS screen. It seems impossible to look at the BIOS at the moment. Still playing.
  15. Nope. Doesn't even give the option because a second monitor isn't detected.
  16. Having a thick moment. Someone's just brought me a laptop where the taskbar and the right hand side of the screen can no longer be seen. The taskbar isn't hidden - when you press the Windows key, the start menu appear. The centre of the wallpaper is more towards the bottom right. It's as if the machine thinks it has a big screen when it hasn't. I've changed the resolution with no difference - that just changes the size of the icons, etc, and does nothing else. Help!
  17. I thought as much. Thanks, anyway.
  18. Hi guys, Some help required, please, as we haven't had a successful response from either our LA or Capita themselves, yet. Our data manager entered an SEN status under a pupil's details in error and had it changed to another status. However, this change is now in the Overview of the pupil's SEN record. I understand that it will keep these as a history of SEN status but this was a mistake and needs to be deleted. The Delete... button and the Open... button next to this SEN status is greyed out for our data manager and also for me so there's no way we can delete it. Anyone know why? Cheers
  19. We've just started with Tucasi. Had School Cash Office for some time but just started with online payments. Works well. Had no trouble with it so far.
  20. Ah, the bright garish world of Geocities
  21. A +1 for Meru here. A few teething trouble to begin with but now we have full coverage and it just does the job nicely.
  22. Another one for Spiceworks here. I use it as an email-only helpdesk. Saves staff having to learn something different (unless, like here, they're a bit pathetic at using email, too).
  23. I was meant to come over to your stand yesterday to compliment the Meru products. We went fully wireless with Meru about 12 months ago. Ok, a few teething problems as expected but pretty faultless since then. I always say you can tell a good product if you take it for granted and don't realise it's there. With Meru, it's just that. It just works.
  24. First Edugeek conference tomorrow. Highly looking forward to it. See you all in the morning
