is it possible to have 2 ip ranges running via one wireless set up? we use Ruckus thanks

Hi Does anyone have the Viewsonic IFP7550 panels working with the wireless dongle that is provided by viewsonic? Our previous boards have an actual wireless card thingy (technical jargon!) and have always connected without any issues to our wireless but the last 3 we've had installed have been a total nightmare. The dongle is EZcast dual band wireless adapter model EZC-520185. I been in contact with Viewsonics technical support but to be honest they are worse than useless. thanks for any info.

I have 6 Epson EMP-X5e free to anyone who may need them. replaced with touch panels. Im in the Midlands if that helps I also have 4 ceiling mounted short throw Epson Printers (projectors!!!!) with their cages/mounts if thats any help to anyone.

Sorry if this has been asked before. we have just replaced a few iwb and projectors with touch panels. I've now got several old Activboards and a mixture of projectors, Epson EB570 short throw and some other Epson standard ceiling mounted. Is there a market for them or do I just send them off to the recyclers? seems a shame. thanks

We have several new viewsonic panels but the freeze function on the remote doesn't do as expected. All we get is a black screen with a lock icon. I've been in touch with the boards support but they don't seem to be having any joy. The computers are connected via VGA, computers too old for HDMI. They did work for a couple of days when first installed and as far as I can see nothing has been changed. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious. Any suggestions please?

Hello. We use Veritas backup exec. If I upgrade to the latest version via the Veritas download section does it write over our current installation leaving the settings (jobs etc) or will I have to start over. I didn't install it originally so don't want to make myself more work (or grief) than necessary. thanks

Thank you for you help Will give it a go. If we end up with any budget in the new school year (Ha!) the intention is to replace this year groups IWBs but I have a feeling we won't get a budget again. Once again thanks for you suggestions.

we have several old Promethean Activboards. One of them has started clicking and the light at the top left corner flashes at the same time (two clicks in rapid succession) Is there a list of fault finding clicks anywhere please. thanks

Left school (and home) at 15 and worked in a bank. Had children and lots of part time jobs to work around child care. Children all off to school and I found a course called "women's returners to work" funded by the EU. 11 week course and ended up with a NVQ in Information tech. Bluffed my way into a tech job in a secondary school under a network manager who wasn't frightened by my lack of knowledge. Hubby relocated and I followed. 2nd career bluff was to be employed by a group of schools supporting the primaries with their computers. Read a lot of manuals, had a play with spare computers and made a few errors on the way but have no "proper" qualifications with regard to IT. Love a puzzle to solve and have quite a logical mind and most importantly I'm not afraid to ask for help when I need it. Still think someone will find me out oh by the way they didn't have computers when I was at school.......

Today's the day our LEA support come in and move our admin (sims) network on to a virtual server that will run alongside our virtual curriculum server. Currently its on a very old peer to peer network that I've been warning them for years is a problem I've not been kept in the loop about what, how or when :/ The business manager was suppose to be arranging it all but as far as I can see shes not told anyone whats happening or who's going to be responsible for it. I'm just putting this here for my own sanity really. I'm dreading what is going to be lumped at my door to deal with or what I'm going to have to do to get the admin team back up and running. Hopefully the LEA support guys will do it all or at least show me what I'm suppose to be doing with it. But I'm not holding out much hope to be honest. Today's going to be a long day............

Is it me or have the support team at Schoolsbroadband dropped the ball with their response time. The new "improved" customer support team have taken an email from me asking for a response everytime I've logged an issue. I've been patient and waited for a week on most problems but this is getting silly. I use email rather than phone with an issue as I'm frequently in different parts of our school so can't be near a phone.

I'm in leicestershire and need a cabling company to trace my wap cabling We have Ruckus WAPs that are poe and the adapters are failing. I've been able to trace and replace most of them but there are a couple I can't find where they go. I can't use the company that installed them as I don't trust them (long story!) anymore. Can anyone suggest a trustworthy company please. thanks

We have a school full of very old and now failing Promethean activboards. I cant get replacement bits for them not even the pens. I had a meeting with the head who said we have funds for replacing on a rolling program with touch screens/panels but he'd ask the staff for the thoughts at the next staff meeting. We do have 2 iiyama boards in a couple of classrooms that are used every day. It now turns out that the teaching staff don't like them and don't want to change their failing boards. "can we replace what we have we newer versions" is what has come back to me. Apparently the touchscreens are too small too sensitive and generally moaned about (mainly by one teacher who uses one but she really does moan about everything!) What do I do now? The only thing I think I can do is find teachers that will change and keep their boards for parts. Not ideal but short of causing a revolt I'm kind of lost for words. Who knew teachers didn't like new stuff!

Have you had to contact the local building inspector? if removing all plaster from walls I think you need to. Also any electrics will need a certificate registered with local authority as well. We are in to year 2 of a 5 year project. Downstairs finished now just up stairs to go

I have a Huawei band 2, does everything I want it to (steps, gps and heart rate) and a couple of extras I don't use (cycle and swim monitoring ) It was cheap but has a really good battery life and I quite like the app that comes with it.

I received a fake BT phone call (on a landline that's not used, I don't even know what the number is) yesterday from an Indian sounding gentleman. Initial call was a recorded message giving options of either key 1 for tech support or key 2 to continue disconnection. I pressed 2. Rather than bore you all with whole conversation the abridged version is that I answered the call with "good afternoon, Scotland yard Police station London which department would you like? Fraud?" After several minutes of said IG getting very irate he said "I need to speak to someone with broken English accent as I can't understand you, you speak to well!"
