We currently use ghost for windows imaging and have netrestore on a mac server for mac deployment. We are in the process of setting up SCCM for our windows machines - I take it SCCM cant do Apple deployment? Had a play with the Dell KACE stuff but its a bit too complicated (and pricey!) Our netrestore doesnt seem to be able to cope with the modern macbooks we've recently purchased - been looking into deploy studio but not sure if it will be able to deploy dualboot OSX / Win7? Is this possible? (Is there a step by step guide if there is?)

SBS is now Essentials I think I read somewhere? So if I want to use enterprise-esque features from now on (failover clustering etc) its Datacenter all the way now? or have they moved some of the eneteprise features into Standard?

the iso i downloaded only had standard and datacennter have they got rid of enterprise?

i tried enabling WMI manually on a couple of laptops in the advanced firewall config and it still didnt work...

Failover and dynamic memory work great in all of the setups I have seen. What sort of problems do you have with Dynamic memory? What issues are you having with failover?

It seems the 2010 Management Tools wont install onto Server 2012.. Is there a newer version or an update that will install?

Im going to rebuild my 'desktop' (6core 16gb testbench machine) currently running 2008r2 datacenter with desktop experience, and put 2012 on it and run windows8 in a VM as my day to day OS. Just bought a nice 250gb SSD for the OS drive as well.

I read the intel stuff, and tried the reg fix it suggested, but that didnt work. No idea why this fix works or what caused it (im assuming it was the BIOS / Firmware update... ) and the other question remains is what has happened to the other host that Ive done no maintenance on.. why did that suddenly die.. I guess Ill find out when I can get to the server room in the morning...
