(have you just started using antispam etc, migrated servers / mailboxes etc) just checking that you've done message tracking as Meldrew mentioned as I think this would be a great place to start?... Get-MessageTrackingLog -sender “put sender email address here” if this find anything we can then further refine the search. I would verify that your domain MX records are correct and that if you have multiple that all are correct and responsive. Also ensure that there is a quarantine mailbox setup and check that after sending but not receiving.

Hi Karan_jhr, sorry I should have been clearer - MS have pulled the latest patch due to issues (outlook clients unable to communicate with exchange server) so it may be best to hold off installing SP3 until they release again. Cheers, Colin

worth a look: Windows Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2 ensuring it's running off a UPS and memory check would be high on my list. I would doubt it but is there a memory checkdump .dmp?

I would check the environment tab on in Active Directory Users and Computers on a DC and ensure the print options are selected for the user in question. if you are using RSAT and can't see this tab... Windows 7 RSAT: Multiple tabs are missing when viewing user properties in Active Directory Users and Computers Is the RDS on a Domain Controller? Is there only one user with this problem? It would be great to test out RDS with an admin user as then we can narrow it down

Are the environment tab options in AD populated? Also saw that you said normal domain user...does this work for Admins? cheers

Is it using the windows management for the wifi or a dell utility? I used to get lots of random issues with wifi due to the dell utility. If it is using it I would recommend removing it and testing with purely the windows side.

That will be frustrating! ...Possibly failing power supplies? / temperature - run hwmonitor on one where it occurs often. Are all bios versions the same? Is there a memory dump file created?... Maybe running a whocrashed or nirsoft bluescreenview might shed some light. With you saying that it happens mainly when idle it could be a power management feature enabled in the bios? - do these differ from the others? Cheers, Colin

Hi Tesla, not seen this before but I would be looking to upgrade audio drivers if possible and also maybe try to unregister and then re-register that dll?... I can see there were issues with this dll and vista and the following link gave information on how to do this AUDIOSES.DLL error message - Microsoft Community "Step 3: Re-register the following DLL (Dynamic-link library) files to correct this problem. a. Click on start and in the start search bar type cmd, right click on the command prompt icon in the programs area and then click on run as administrator. b. at the command prompt Type regsvr32 AUDIOSES.DLL and then press enter. Hi, can see there are no replies to this and it was a while back but thought I would comment on it.. I've upgraded from 2003 - 2007/2010 before but never had this problem. However I'm presuming it's because your environment is from 5.5 and has been upgraded from 2000 to 2003 at one point. The ADC would have been required from a co-existance standpoint from what I take from it and found these links to be useful... Haha - Spooky! I'll update you if I receive the same issue however I don't seem to have a particular machine that loses it often (some may work for weeks before stopping again). Hi Sted, just an update that Print jobs fail in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is the problem with our setup...dependent files reg key overwritten and nothing in it (Null) - when this occurs the driver goes into a very basic mode within print preferences (two tabs). Will be applying this to a couple of computers for a trial period. Cheers, Colin

Our issue was with HP P4014 printers using PCL Drivers but your issue sounds very similar - Driver appears to go to a basic mode (two tabs within printer preferences which from memory were only Layout and Paper/Quality). Removing printer and reinstalling from share worked temporarily... What I would have liked to have looked into if the issue was still current:printing fails when you use a shared printer in Windows 7 Print jobs fail in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Event Viewer / Applications and Services Logs / Microsoft / Windows / PrintService, Right click "Operational" and Enable Log then check log when attempting a print. SNMP enable / disable within printer If I could have had time I would have liked to have completely removed all printers with the problem driver, completely removed all signs of the print driver within the server and reinstalled. Ultimately our issue was resolved by changing to the HP Universal PCL6 5.8 Driver however this seemed to bring in different issues with conflicts resulting in preferences changing to Mid Weight / Heavy A4. This was eventually stamped out by enabling a GPO Preference for printers that were set to "Replace".

Hi Sted, I've recently experience many print driver woes with 2008 r2 and HP printers however our problems don't quite seem the same but maybe they are. Could you explain how you know they are "old drivers" - I only ask as in our setup the drivers at first appeared fine and then when the random print issues occurred it was found that when going to the preferences menu of the printer driver that was installed you received very limited options (only two tabs) - is this what is happening to you? Is everyone stopped printing at the same time? Does it print at all? Until there's further info I can only suggest possibly a GPO preference for printers with the option to "Replace" which is a bit of a harsh setting (people that didn't have this mapped before would then get it) however it would not remove the home printers / pdf which would be a good thing.
