Yeah, I have all the SSID vlans tagged and management vlan untagged for the AP and cloud key ports

Including the server vlan? Currently the AP can ping the NPS server without the tag - - - Updated - - - AP and Cloud key both been added as RADIUS clients.

Good Morning, Hopefully a quick one and I am missing something obvious. I am just setting up a Unifi Wireless system. I have a cloud key and 30 APs. They all sit untagged on the wifi management VLAN. I have setup the different wireless vlans as networks in the controller and assigned the VLANs to the different SSIDs. I have also created the RADIUS profile to point to my NPS server which sits in the server VLAN. However, when attempting to connect to any of the new wireless networks it will not connect. Can anyone shed some light on something I may have missed. Cheers

So spanning tree is turned off on both the working switch and the non working switch.

Looks like it is definitely a switching problem. Plug a computer that wasn't working into another room and it works. I just can't see any differences on the switches though

So the switch uplink is tagged for the server vlan and can ping the MDT server happily. Also when I put in the Bootserver and a filename as DHCP options, it picks up the deployment server but has a problem running the task sequence or errors about the bootfile.

Morning, This is a bit of a strange one and may be a slight cross over between forums/topics. I have an MDT server which works and deploys images but not to all our IT rooms. I have ip helpers on all the VLANs and this works as when I change the VLANs on a virtual machine it still picks up the image and runs through the deployment. I have also managed to get it to deploy to one of our IT rooms successfully. However, I have 2 IT rooms where the computers are not picking up the server/image to network boot and I am getting server time out errors. I have checked everything I can think of, I have compared switch configurations and they all seem fine. I have confirmed the ip helper address on VLANs and they are fine. I feel like I am missing something really obvious but have run out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Yeah so I created a VM Group and that still didn't work. To be honest not sure why I really done it. Just how it has always been I suppose and is quite handy for maintenance. Although the new severs are pretty quick and reliable it wouldn't really be too much of an issue and maintenance is generally done out of hours anyway. I will probably just remove the cluster and have 1 SQL Server. Just really annoying that Microsoft do not have much solid documentation on this. All I can find is articles that say it should work.

Good Afternoon, I'm hoping someone will have run into the same issue and be able to help. I have just built a new Server 2019 cluster and rebuilt all of our servers on 2019. This includes a new SQL cluster. Each SQL VM sits on separate hosts and have a VHD Set assigned to each VM for storing the databases. The issue now comes when trying to backup the 2 SQL servers. Hyper V does not allow the creation on checkpoints with this error, "Cannot take checkpoint for SQLSERVER because one of more shareable VHDX are attached and this is not part of a checkpoint collection" From what I can see and understand, host level backup is doable with VHD Sets so I'm a bit confused as to why this is not working. Any ideas and suggestions would be handy! Thanks

So the server connection strings point to the new server. I have just actually run the SOLUS UI as administrator and can now see the Servers and Databases as Targets. Really strange though because I never had to do that on the old server.

Good Morning, I have been going through and migrating our SOLUS 3 server this morning. Everything seemed to be going well and working. But I have run into a strange issue. When I first migrated and got everything running on the new server I could see the SIMS server and SIMS databases in the SOLUS UI. I have since restarted the server and they have now all disappeared. When I then add them again, restart SOLUS they disappear again. Has anyone seen this before or got any ideas? Cheers

Hi I have migrated my 3CX server over to a new VM and as part of the server rebuild I have given the VM a new name and IP address. Since the migration I have only been able to make outbound calls but can not connect inbound calls. I have updated all port forwards and firewall rules. 3CX passes all firewall checks. I can't think of what I am missing. Any ideas would be great Thanks

So I was being a slight idiot. Was firewall issue on the client machine. I think I need a holiday!

So TCP/IP protocol is enabled with dynamic ports. There is no SQL Availability group on the previous cluster so did not set one up on this cluster. Running SQLCMD I get an error saying that it cannot find the server, this is the same on the old cluster as well.

So the old one had dynamic ports on all IPs, I have tried static and dynamic on the new cluster and still nothing

Good Morning, I have just setup an SQL Failover Cluster on Server 2019 and that is working fine. I can connect to all the SQL Instances when on the local servers but when trying to establish a connection to any of the instances from a client machine it does not establish. I have turned off the firewall on both servers to test if that was causing an issue and I am still getting the same problem. There is currently the old SQL failover cluster still running on site and from what I can see the servers are setup the same and I can establish remote connections to instances on the old cluster. Any ideas and help would be great Cheers

Thanks, it was an issue with my LAG setup in the end. Did you setup a Windows failover cluster at all? For some reason I can't get the servers to see see the storage as available to create a CSV.

Morning, I am just setting up a new server infrastructure using a Dell VRTX Unit. I have got 2 blades and a 1gig network module in the vrtx. I have connected to the network and configured a trunk for each blade on the HP switching with lacp and created the nic team on there servers. NIC team is working and works fine no lacp errors. I am however having trouble getting it to work with the VLANs. Has anyone ever set this up on a VRTX before that can help? Cheers

I am having the same issue and I did notice that in SIMS Online there are duplicate groups/classes in there. I had a remote session with Microsoft who also saw this and basically they say that if there are duplicates in there then thats what SDS pulls across. Capita then basically said you must have duplicate classes in the on prem SIMS as it syncs from there but we have been unable to track these down as yet.

We are secondary grammar and Bromcom seems to be the way to go. Would be good to hear experiences of Bromcom having never really seen it.

Yeah to be honest any migration help these companies offer would be great! Surprisingly it is actually something I was asked to look into by management so who knows where this could lead to.

I started working at a school which had just adopted Microsoft Teams with Direct Routing as a phone system and it was possibly one of the worst experiences with a phone system I have ever had. Microsoft were unable to answer simple support tickets and then when looking at the Calling Plans it became far too expensive. I eventually took the hit and replaced it with 3CX and have never looked back. 3CX is perfect and simple to maintain. You can even get free 3CX certifications.
