I have Health and Safety in my job description like so... Health & Safety Advise other staff of H&S aspects of proposed developments. Actively monitor school, LEA and legal requirements for H&S. Develop relevant H&S procedures and ensure that all ICT users follow appropriate practice. Now the problem is I have not been doing much of this at all so wondered if anyone knew of any resources to help me out? Thanks

Sorry Nick, I probably didn't explain myself properly! I meant at the server end rather than the client. We like the log in tracking but not the restriction on the amount of log ins!

Hey Ho, Is it possible to stop the logon tracker from kicking users if they are logged on to more than a set number of machines? We have a standard open evening user to log on to a large number of computers BUT they can't at the moment thanks

Hi All, We are currently looking at how we can have a member of staff ask to add something to our current school calendar. This would enable somebody to add it to the electronic one in outlook with requests to certain staff to provide caretaking, IT etc. However we would want a group of people to be able to edit the event to fill in the blanks later on so that everybody can see what has been done and what needs to be done. We don't want to disable forever but would be nice to see if we can stop it happening in the first instance then work out what is going on!

I work with Ben. For a quick fix while we look into this could there be a way we disable wmiprvse.exe so if it tries to do it's normal reboot it fails? I don't know how wmiprvse.exe is calling these reboots?

I have set the proxy for my ubuntu box like so... $ export http_proxy=http://myproxy.domain.com:1234 $ git config --global http.proxy $http_proxy but when I try to download a file with GIT I get the following error ... source.ffmpeg.org[0: 88.191.250.118]: errno=Connection timed out fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection timed out) fetch-pack from 'git://source.ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg' failed. Is there something else I need to do? I am trying to set up VidiScript to see if it's worth showing the teaching staff.

Hi All, I don't want all the answers here just any experiences that people have had with this? We are going to move our sims from a very old server 2003 server to Server 2008 R2. I wondered if this is going to be a painful process or if it can be carried out pain free? I have installed SQL 2008 on to the Server 2008 R2 server to have a play around for now and I have restored the latest SIMS database but I can see there is a lot more to it!
