Sorry if this has been already asked (Long thred) but can the config tool still be used in V6? I have tried dropping it in the Bin folder with no success. i have tried putting it in a folder with the web.config file on folder above but have errors when trying to save. thanks

Thanks Sted, Unfortunately it isn't in the startup folder I can see it when I run msconfig. I can disable it there but I don't want to have to run round every machine!!

I have just moved our print control software, Papercut, from one server to another . My problem has come after what I thought would be the hard bit. I have a locally installed program that runs at start up which connects to the old server to give users their printing balance. My new install runs straight from a share so that is no problem. Can anyone suggest how i can disable this program from running across all my clients? Thanks

Ah! This could be why! I am using the complete intergration for google apps from here.. Dev: Code Releases This add on intergrates eveything and included SSO without adding any additional admin, of course that's once you can get the bleeding thing to go through a proxy!

I can't find anywhere where you can globally set the proxy for cURL in ubuntu. I don't think it is possible.

Programs like RM tutor or netops can do this sort of thing. Do you have any remote classroom tools?

I got a response eventually! pings seem to be blocked via our LA firewall. My gateway seems fine.

When I use nmap -PN Google I get no response, the command line stays blank. I'm starting to think now that there is nothing wrong with my moodle install but something else is to blame?

I have installed the plugin from moodlerooms but I keep gettings a connection error... My moodle is installed on ubuntu server and goes through the LA firewall so I am wondering if I can do any checks on the ubuntu box to see if it's something I need to change on it? Has anyone else used this successfully? Thanks

have restored to my old moodle for now. Still concered about how this happened.

I have just upgrade my moodle site to 1.9.11 from 1.9.5. everything seemed to go OK but now noen of the pictures are showing anywhere? If you take a look here Prenton Moodle - In Maintenance Mode you will see what i mean. I can now even upload a picture in the html editor but it still doesn't show up! Thanks

We are currently in the middle of moving our finance system over to corero. One thing they have suggested we need is a scanner to digitise all invoices etc. to store them electronically. They have suggested the Fujitsu Snapscan s1500 which costs around £350 as it has a save to pdf button on it! Does anyone else use a scanner for a similar purpose? Thanks

Thanks for the replies. We don't set wireless via gpo, we just initially connect the laptops to the wireless after we image them. I will have to look more in to the gpos.

We currently have Ruckus wireless and about 90 netbooks connecting to it. We occasionally have students bringing netbooks to us that cannot find the domain. We log on as local admin and find that the netbook is not connected to any wireless or occasionally is connected to the guest wireless, which will not allow any access without a guest password. I am wondering whether this is because 1. the students are playing with the wireless network connection settings and disconnecting from the wireless or choosing guest 2. something else wrong with netbooks. Is there a way to disable the access to the wireless network connections via gpo? I want to try to block this firts and then if it still keeps dropping off the correct wireless i could investigate further. thanks

I am really loving the edumoodle theme for moodle 2. I can honestly say that it is better than any of the other themes. I set up a moodle Prenton Primary for a primary school training course I am holding and it wasn't until I went into our training suite that I nmoticed that the theme does not work with IE7,8 or 9. If you click on any section, for example the governors section (Click the fluffy giant panda) the page has a blue border but the main section is blank. Has anyone else used this theme with IE? Thanks
