Going away to Kenya for two weeks next summer and will be hoping to take my Iphone for the pictures, video's. Has anyone used a good solar charger before and can recommend one?

Walking back from a teachers staff accomodation at 1am and heard one of the alarms going off. When I unset the alarm there was about 2 seconds of silence and then hearing running footsteps then silence again. Called the police who put me on hold so dialed 999 and the lady questioned if it was an emergency or not and I was honest in saying I dont know if there is anyone still in there. Dog car came within 10 minutes (school is 20 miles from the nearest town) and the helicopter had arrived before him and then several other cars. Found an open window but no sight of anyone at all (200 acres of open land) which was surprising. Best bit of all was doing the 2 minute walk back home one of the police vans passed me and did a quick U turn and actually stopped me and asked for ID from me. Only the name I gave to the operator which related to my driving license allowed me to get home quickly! Just thought the police response was fantastic for just a "suspected" break in and so far away from any large population. And when nothing came up they still commited themselfs to searching an area of about 10 miles for another couple of hours.

Interesting, a few school on the "outstanding list" are actually pretty bad and did quite badly in latest OFSTED, but a school on the "not outstanding" list got an outstanding in recent OFSTED. thats just for my area anyway.

Well any make, looked at a samsung that is a year old and it doesnt seem to have the feature.

Looking at buying a 40" TV for a display unit. But the requestee would like a feed of BBC news. I know an old display we used to have was able to have a picture in picture function that would allow you to display two sources, one being in a small corner. The newer models im looking at dont seem to have this feature. Does anyone have a unit that does this that I can try to source.

We had casio themselfs come out and demo a unit. It was pretty good, the fan noise was a little louder than normal when using the non eco mode but apart from that they are great.

What do you get done all morning? I find four hours is rarely enough time to get anything meaningful done so I just react to problems.

Been doing it for a few years now and I have reached the point where one lie in a week is just natural and even Sundays I wake up at half 6 and force myself to have an extra half hour. Many others suffer as I do?

Hi quick survery What connections does everyone have that have externally hosted moodle sites? We would like to move from internal to external hosting but we are worried that our connection would not be up to scratch as it is only 3mb bonded connection and we have 900 pupils and 150 staff that would be on moodle with at most 100 users on at a single time.

Disabled the proxy in HTTP as it no longer existed, changed the email server to new one, added a slideshow module and also got the moodle cron service functioning again. All of which we have undone and the problem still exists.

Our moodle site has been left to its own devices for quite a while so yesterday we did some maintenance on it and something, no Idea what has cause and issue where it will open up fine in any non IE browser but in IE it just sits there connecting constantly and will do so for hours without displaying the page. Anyone had anything similar?

Going to give Silverlight in C# a try as it will go nicely into SharePoint 2010

thanks but no can not be brought. It somehow has to go into sharepoint. If I can do it directly in sharepoint great if not ill embed the code into sharepoint somehow.

I would like to create a web page or integrate into sharepoint the ability to fill in information about new users and have teh code create the user using the supplied information. Would anyone have any starting places to look at?

Had a user who on teh first time they logged in to OWA decided to use the basic experiance, need to reset them to premium but can not find out anywhere how to do this. does anyone know?

I have given SharePoint app server 4gb and SQL 3gb. This did improve things by about 20%. Will try putting in a second processor tomorrow.

I have upgrade the memory to 8GB. I have given both VM's 8GB and let them fight for it? Is that a bad idea? Or should I split the momory up more?

Thank you for all your questions Host is an ML 250 G5 quad core at 2 GHz 4GB RAM Each host has 2GB assigned and its 64 bit Server 2008 R2 Task manager has no specific process using up all the CPU just lots of random ones jumping to 40% - 60% - 30% Installed on one box is fresh 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2, on teh other is a fresh box with SharePoint 2010 with no configuration but the install

4 cores on one physical processor each virtual machine is assigned 2 processors. I tried taking them down to 1 and got similar results

I have installed ESXi on a HP Server and that server has 4GB of RAM. I have created two virtual servers running 2008 r2. I am very new to VM's so I just went with standard options. According to vSphere client my host is using only 14% of the CPU and 80% of memory but both my virtual machines are running at 100% CPU usage. Is there a simple reason for this?

I think I have managed most of it. One problem is publishing the form makes it a default template for a form library. I want a form library which includes many forms that can be filled in.
