Hi Everyone, Not sure if I am on the right forum but I’ll give it a go. With the new Computing curriculum staff and students are required to use Moodle and WordPress. I was wondering has anybody started using these in there schools and how have they deployed or installed them. I don’t have much experience with either other than installing wordpress locally on my laptop with wampserver. What would be the best way to install these, locally or on a network drive?? Thanks

These laptops came with Windows 7 Pro installed. I thought I would create a master image and deploy them to the rest of the laptops, but stuck at the moment trying to active the master image laptop.

Hi Everyone, I am having problems activating windows 7 Pro. I have reimaged a Fujitsu Lifebook A Series A544. We have bought 20 of these laptops. I have extracted the OEM certificate and product key using SLIC Toolkit. In the past I have successfully imported the OEM certificate and activated windows without a problem on HP laptops. I have used the following command, run as administrator in command prompt: Slmgr –ilc c:\FUJ_V2.1_Cert.xrm.ms This comes back with the following message: “On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run ‘slui.exe 0x2a 0xBBA’ to display the error text. Error: 0xBBA. I have looked up the error on the internet but not much help. Some people are saying to update the bios with the SLIC table (don’t really know how to do this). Some people have used the Slmgr.vbs –ilc c:\FUJ_V2.1_Cert.xrm.ms, when I use this it gives me back the same error message as above. I hope someone can assist. Thanks in advance. Harry

I switched it off and cleaned the filter. If it is a security feature, how to I overcome this problem?

Hi All, I have a Hitachi Ed-A100 projector which gives me a warning message. The message is "This Projector will not operate once disconnected." The projector is clearly connected. I have even connected my laptop direct in to the projector but still no joy. It had a clear filter message before and I cleaned the filter, since then this message has come up. Any idea how to overcome this issue??? The projector is out of warranty. Thanks

Hi All, I have issues with these TTS Easi-View visualizers with focusing. They are intermittent, on some laptops you can focus and others you cannot and the picture is very blurry. I have checked the user manual and that says to get best quality you should disable your on-board camera. I have done that and it is still the same. The visualizers are out of warranty. Any advise or help would be welcome. Thanks

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver still the same issue. I have not checked for any firmware. I have checked the Asus website for drivers but there was nothing related to DVD unless it comes under something else. Where can I check to see if there is a firmware upgrade? Do I check using the laptop make and model or look using the DVD drive make and model? Thanks for the help.

Hi, I have a Asus X52F laptop, running Windows 7 x64. Whenever I try to burn music to a CD, it goes through the process of burning then ejects. A message appears saying that the CD is incompatible or the quality is poor. I am trying to copy on to a New Polaroid CD-R CD. I bought a pack of 100 and try many of the CD's still the same issue. When I use the CD's on another laptop to copy\burn they work fine. CD drive works fine because I can install software off a CD, Listen to music CD's and also watch DVD's. It is a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ890A SATA Device. Few months back I done a fresh install on the laptop, I don't think this should have caused the issue. I have checked the drivers and they seem fine. This is the first time I am trying to copy anything using the DVD drive Any help will be much appreciated. Harry

Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if I am on the right forum. I have an IE issue, currently using IE 11 on a Fujitsu laptop runing Windows 7. When ever i launch IE, it comes up with a page that says Check Point Application Contol. I have checked the home page and that is set to http://www.google.co.uk. In the URL it has the following: http://80.249.52.6/UserCheck/PortalMain?IID=2B47FD93-3D38-1944-3AE0-F2FA2261E16E&origUrl=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5nb29nbGUuY28udWsv. When I launch Google Chrome it comes up with the same messge. When I launch Firefox internet works fine. I have attached the message.Block.docx Any idea what this is and how i can get rid of it. Hi, I have a Promethean Projector Model No PRM-20AV1(S). This projector stops projecting after a few minutes. There are no warning light and lamb replace light on. I have cleaned the filters. When I switch the mains power supply off the projector then power it on, it projects on to the IWB for a few minutes then stops projecting. The power light is green on the projector, when I look into the bulb there is nothing happening. Usually there should be some sort of light coming out. Any help will be welcome. Many thanks Harry

I have done both already, desk update and typed in the model number and selected OS 8.1 on the website. It did download updated driver but still did not resolve the issue.

I've been to fujitsu website. Which driver should i be looking for?

I have tried many things but nothing seems to work. I have tried the following: * Uninstall the driver, * Uninstall and disabled other Drivers, * Installed latest Chipset Driver, * I tried installing Intel USB 3 Drivers but for some reason my system does not meet minimum requirements (a bit stupid) Just to mention this laptop came with Windows 7 Pro and i upgraded it to Windows 8.1.

Telsa - below is a picture of device manager. It is strange that the laptop only has one entry USB Controller. Could the issue be because of this?

Snagrat - Which diver I am suppose to look for? I have tried downloading the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver but when I launch setup it say the system does not meet the minimum requirement for some reason.

Telsa - I only have the one entry under Universal Serial Bus Controller.

I have also uninstalled the USB xHCI driver still the same. I have tried updating the driver online but it says the best driver is already installed.

Hi, I have a Fujitsu Lifebook A544, running Windows 8.1 Pro, when ever I connect a USB device (storage or mouse it does not pick anything up). I have checked device manager and it has yellow exclamation mark on USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller and this is the only entry under Universal Serial Bus Controller. When I check the properties under general device status is "This Device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12). If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system". Hi, I was just wondering is there any way to Block or stop a table cell from expanding in Publisher? I have created a form for recording student reports as a template. I do not want the cells to expand beyond its set size. Text also needs to be limited so it does not exceed the space in the cell. Is there any way of doing this?

Hi, We are using Windows 7 x64 and MS Office 2013. For some reason a user was working on a Publisher file finished the document, printed it and save the file and closed the application. Next time she tried to use it, the name of the file changed to random numbers and letter with .TMP at the end. I have tried opening the file with another application but no luck (Word, Publish, Notepad) nothing works. It shows publish as Microsoft Publisher 2013 component. When I try to open with Publish I get the following message: 'H:\Folder name\Folder Name\ File Name .TMP is not a valid Win32 application. She has save this to her H drive which is her home folder saved on the server. I have saved publisher file to see what happens and it saves fine. Does anyone know why this happens and how I can retrieve this file? Thanks in advance.

Sorry guys, both my threads are related to 2 different iMac's. Both iMacs have faults with them 1 is ejecting the CD and the other boots up with a grey screen and makes a crackling noise.

Hi, I have a old promethean board with the serial connection to the computer. The board is constantly flashing red top left corner of the board. When I unplug the board from either back of the board or PC it make a noise. I have tried uninstall and reinstall active inspire but no luck. I have also tried 2 other PC and the same issue and also downgraded the software. Any idea how I can resolve this issue? Or is the board too old and needs replacing.
