Yeah, I'll admit this is a silly battle to try and fight, to be honest. And as has been said, the poor conditions all the workers go through for phones/clothes/technology and all should also be taken into consideration, but people don't tend to mind that.

I got one of these. Nut and superglue meathod with Isoclene-Isopropyl getting the residue off (don't have nail varnish remover but did the trick). I quite like the strap, myself. Might keep in on there for a while before moving over to a NATO strap.

Currently planning something like this for myself, but I expect to it to come in more costly than a simple PI build Planning on an old Initial D racing cab, so sourcing parts for an old Niomi 2 machine is on my todo list.

I personally wait and do dealer servicing for at least the first 3 years (and then continue depending on price). It depends on if you can trust your dealership though, I tend to check things soon after a service such as the oil, the filters and whatnot. You can tell immediately if they've not done anything.

Go to the local pound store, buy a large box of 50 pens for a quid and you'll be set. It'll cost people more than that to post one to you.

I'm just annoyed that, ultimately, it's costing us the fans a chance to see good racing. There's a lot of information a driver can't possibly know without having the numbers and stats in front of them... how do you expect a driver to know what's going to happen to a gear if the team doesn't tell him or if an engine mode is causing a lack of power ect...

I'd personally get two DVI-VGA adapters for the normal VGA monitors and then a HDMI/Display Port to DVI adapter for your current monitor. At least that way you can retain one Digital rather than all analogue displays.

We've got similar adaptors for Display Port to VGA. All I can say is that until we started cable tying the adaptors to the back of the machines, we was replacing them about once a month. The actual connector that plugs into the computer was actually quite flimsy and the slightest nudge was enough to break the casing and render the thing useless.

I tend to go through a new case every two-three years. Mostly because I half like change and setting myself new challenges and partly because I'm always expanding my rig and putting in new watercooling kit. I might change again soon, given I fancy giving copper hardline a go and would want something suitably steampunk to go with it.

I'd personally go for the new course and the new certs, myself. It'll look better on any CV going forward

Worth giving dell an email or something, they might be able to sort you out. Other than that, it might be worth making a case for new monitors to replace them. Seems silly to waste money on stands when the monitors themselves potentially won't last that much longer.

Isn't there also the whole stock image thing going round, where the likes of getty and such are fining schools/businesses for using their photos on public sites. Not quite the same as copying a disk, but in the same sort of ballpark.

Tell them a different analogy then. If they asked you, as part of your role, to go hammer someone else's legs in or to steal something, you'd still be committing the crime (albeit more serious). Doesn't matter if your boss says "It's fine, I'll take responsibility for it", doesn't mean it's suddenly fine and you're scott free.

I'd say, personally, you would be ultimately responsible. Copyright theft is as much as a crime as any other (even though 95% of people do it). Even if you have a papertrail leading back to someone senior who told you to do it, doesn't absolve you any responsibility.

A couple with Raid 0 is a must for our servers these days. Use this for virtual servers and the boot-up times are very impressive, good for maintenance/reboots.

Can't really say he's been rubbish this year, given it's mostly been engine problems that have screwed him over! I agree with the knob part, mind you. As has been said, Sainz is a good enough racer, just unfortunate really that Verstappen is the new kid to the block and could go further. For the teams, it's about getting the long term prospects and the short term gains. Verstappen will ultimately go further career wise than Sainz, so it makes sense for him to make the pick. You can't run this as friends and take into account feelings of drivers, it's a money game where you need to think what's best for the team.
