I'm just moving some photos around between two servers to sort out disk space. I'm getting about 8mb/s transfer speeds which seems slow but is about normal for data moving processes here - reading a couple of random articles on the web folk are getting say 80mb/s when tweaking various settings. What sort of speeds do you get between two servers with Gig ports on them? Peter

Revamped our 30 year old kitchen last Easter. Was a regular floor-standing main oven with top-oven/grill, plus separate worktop microwave. Now got built-in stacked single oven plus combi oven/microwave/grill. Use all combinations for various things and love it. Christmas Dinner is great as the combi fits more in than the top oven used to, and it's fanned if we want. Peter

Had a look during panto last night; one duet has male lead on a side podium in Source 4 profile, female lead in dream scene on stage with LEDs galore. The difference in clarity on the video was 1000%.

Cool - that helps tremendously with our panto which is running this week. Got a number of new LEDs over the last couple of years to upgrade our aging rig, but the video clarity has gone downhill at the same time. Will check this out tonight. Peter

I always thought that was the Alpha, Bravo, Charlie... alphabet - but it appears that's the NATO phonetic alphabet which is different. :S I know that one, but I don't know the IPA linked above.

Ditto, ditto, ditto. It passes through a review form for admin to check (which by all accounts wasn't too successful) before I convert to CTF, but definitely got most of the data in. The review form displays the content that came from ATF alongside the content the parents gave us, then we can accept or decline the changes to each piece of data before moving onto the next record. Our staff iPad 4's are three years old now, and we've just agreed to replace them this financial year (to Sept).
