Article: PaperCut Print Deploy To The Rescue
KrisTech replied to Dos_Box's topic in Legacy CMS Comments
I have used PaperCut in the past - Honestly the most efficient and useful print management system to date. Really easy to operate, and manage printers across the network. -
Still trying to find motivation to watch this. That's also being a Cineworld Unlimited Premium member!

We've been testing Senso.cloud at our school. So far so good - after we had remote issues. Later to find our that because we divert our customers through a proxy server, we had to create a proxy file within the senso directory. Totally mind jam!

It seems as if the option to 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'. So now I'm at a bit of dead end! Any other suggestions?

All the research I've done also points to this. I'll give it a try tomorrow when I'm in. Thanks for sharing!

Hi all; not sure if this should really be in the 'hardware' section, but I'm wondering if you can help me anyway! Within the school i work in; there is an issue that has been bothering us for somewhat of 6 months now. This issue occurs when the managed windows 7 all in on pc falls to sleep, then when waking the device, the USB mouse attached becomes unresponsive???? I work in a high school; and I'm getting a lot of flak from the ICT teachers that have these issues. The only way to 'temporarily' fix the issue is by removing the USB mouse, and plugging it back in. Cliche I know! I've tried going through GP to see if there is anything in there that would cause this, and I cant see anything out of the norm?! If you have any theories, I'd happily try them! Thanks for reading!

Hi all, I am having a problem saving a printer to the settings of a MacBook Pro within my workplace. I have managed to install the printer and get the user to print. However, when the printer asks for authentication it doesn't remember the credentials I am trying to save. I enter the correct credentials and click 'save to keychain' and it prints perfect. However, when going to print again, it has not remembered these credentials. Can anyone offer any help or guidance with this? Thanks in advance.

You could just install Start8. This is a great application that gives the user the accessibility of the start menu. Windows 7 style! (the best style)

Hi all, again! I'm going to make this post really plain and simple: My primary school use office365 mail. And some of the staff are not happy with the layout. Therefore, I prupose that the select few, including myself, use Mozilla Thunderbird. Now, when it asks me to sign in. My user name and password are correct. But why wont it let me use it?!?!?! The message i get is: "Configuration could not be verified - is the username and password wrong?" Answer: No. Everything is how it should be. Additional information: We do use a proxy server to get to the internet. Maybe this has something to do with it? Any help needed!

Yes but they are saying that it would be threatening to open up those ports. Pretty silly if you ask me, but hey ho.

Hi Guys, I work in a primary school, and we have just had in some iPad 2's. I've found a great bit of software called: Apple Configurator. It's great for supervision on the iPads, as ive been able to block a lot of features that can change things on them. But when i try get apps on all of them. I'm pretty puzzled. The method im doing now: - I'm connecting one of the iPads into itunes without the others being connected, and download the app i want to push out to all of them. (eventually)It syncs to the connected iPad... Fine. But now i have that app on the computer. I then plug all the ipads in to send that app out to them. But i need redemption codes? I dont know how to get these, and are they free? Can someone please explain to me how to this process at a more simpler level that works. Or just a way that works. And can you please explain what these redemption codes are. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I hope you can help. Thank you. -Kris

So I have recently received a new RM Desktop from RM, through work. It came CC4 ready and I plugged it into the network and booted it. The CC4 ready screen was open and it said it couldnt pick up any network. Anyway, a few attempts later. The CC4 screen has gone and normal Windows 7 desktop is on the machine. I know how to rebuild the PC. But not sure how to build from a disk image on the server. In order to build this PC onto the network i need to press and hold both of the shift keys when the RMR comes at the top left of the screen during boot. But this doesnt appear? what can i do to put this PC on the network? Any help is welcomed. Thanks - Kris

Hi Guys, I work as an IT technician in a primary school. We are soon to get rid of 2 trolleys worth of laptops because they are out dated, And we are now a CC4 networked school. various discussions have taken place about what we should get to replace the out dated laptops. A few ideas were thrown out Bout iPads. Now, I'm a great fan of the iPad range, and I support apple and their technology. But, can we network iPads if we were to buy them? We are talking about 15 iPad mini's. I think this would be great for the kids. But I need to know if they can be controlled and networked. any answers will help thanks - Kris
