    sorry mad week! So how would i go about setting up the private ip range? I can change ip settings within the controller but then wouldnt that affect the rest of the network?

    Don’t think the costs are much different. They all do the same thing in their own way. I love mosyle! We are an Apple school/ regional training centre so being able to manage everything centrally is a big win and staff here really see the difference between it and profile manager.

    Hi- sorry busy day. I did fail to mention that profile manager just refused to work with high Sierra. Whatever I tried. Only just came back to me. Sign up for free Mosyle and get started in there. The profiles are extremely similar. I was on the free version for a while and it was brilliant. Have now paid for full.

    I had a mix of macs running el cap and Sierra but the latest iMacs are not backwards compatible. I had to upgrade to support the new ones. Update the server and rebuild the NetBoot set on the server. If you are on the latest server build then the recommended methods are MDM or looking at NetSUS!

    Is your mac server running high Sierra and the NetBoot set has been updated?

    OK good to hear- I currently have the draytek router and a storm shield. Would it be possible to put the Gateway in between the router and my network? have tried and not had much luck as of yet...

    Is anyone on a EXA connection with a Unifi Gateway Pro? If so did you remove their router and replaced with the gateway or have you figured out a workaround?

    + Mosyle. We were on the free version for a while but now on the paid as it was so impressive. We are moving the whole school over to it this summer. We are an Apple school so only have macs and iPads.

    Did it at my old school. Old network manager was on good terms with the company but left the school under bad terms. Company then wouldn’t even speak to me... quick complaint to Microsoft about the companies appalling service and I was able to move immediately!

    Thanks everyone for your advice and feedback! Budget has been approved to replace 20 ruckus aps with 25 ac pros next academic year.

    We have the papercut client installed on all of our macs but when they sleep the network connection is broken as the adapter is powered off. When they wake the papercut client has lost connection and will not work again until the mac is restarted- anyone else have this issues? Any ideas on how to get around it?

    We have an internal web server running wordpress that we upload the cert and AUP. They get redirected to it when joining the BYOD network.

    I have a power shell script for this I can dig out for you on Monday. I normally use it during my mdt task sequence but can’t see why it won’t work on a built machine!

    Looking to move our set up over to mosyle- where do you store the applications you capture with mosyle? I believe you need to host them on a SSL encrypted website. - - - Updated - - - We are still deploying High Sierra with deploy studio and works flawlessly. Definitely worth a second look.

    We use Microsoft flows to sync a shared calendar in office 365 with a google calendar displayed with iframes on our website.

    Have set up scan to home folder on papercut for all my copiers- but the copiers do not have permission to access those folders. What permissions do I need to set?

    +1 for Apple school manager route. Create a new user in school manager with vpp access then use that!

    Anyone got a ubiquiti wifi deployment? How have you found it? looking at replacing our ageing system with 20 ubiquiti Aps.

    sounds like a filtering issue- works fine for me. I do have to specify a proxy address as my transparent doesnt like mosyle for some reason...
