  1. Don't you remember, we removed it for exactly this reason!! ;-)
  2. Just not this year... I came in a changed all that! ;-)
  3. I guess it means all staff have to have yet another account to use and remember...
  4. It is a contentious subject, given I have worked for a number of suppliers over the years and am very active on here both personally and professionally, and even then wear 2 hats when it comes to professional! Which is why I like to make clear what my intention is each time to be clear and honest :) I completely understand what you are doing, sounds very sensible and wish you luck with your research. Anything further you need you know where I/Groupcall are.
  5. @JamesBanks7 I work for Groupcall (in case there was any doubt for regular posters too!), I would be happy to answer any questions you have about Xporter. However my fellow forum members have done a good job already, thanks to all of you! Just to give you some specific reassurance, Xporter operates in around 17,000 schools all over the UK, in a lot of those situations this pulls information to many local authority or academy chain central systems. One other thing to mention is Xporter pulls from all the key MIS' in the UK (9), not just SIMS. A key thing for you if you have your one school not on SIMS, and a consideration when you are talking with the Capita One chaps.
  6. Plus, if you have an HTML interface, why would schools need SLG? Phil, can you perhaps clear up an elephant in this thread: It has been suggested that once a Live ID (or others) are linked to SIMS accounts, to be able to log on TeacherApp, that you cannot then unlink these... Mentioned a couple of pages back Thanks, I've just told Lawrence I own Groupcall now, he is happy!
  7. It has made very interesting reading thank you for sharing, and worthy of making the market aware of a limitation at this stage... very interesting reading!
  8. It does a lot more than simply provide a mobile interface to SIMS (and other MIS's too remember!!!!), like providing your MIS offline for (within reason) as long as you need, Fire Registers, Help Me emergency calling/messaging, Dinner Registers... as well as everything you would expect! I'll stop now... But just making it clear it is not a stop gap facility while SIMS catches up and makes information available online!
  9. I like the term, i'm not disagreeing at all!
  10. Please don't go legal Ali on me!
  11. Superb... TeacherApp is a workaround...
  12. Stop talking now...
  13. Just to advise, per device still exists if this is your preference, for secondary schools. I have been on my best behaviour... see! We both know exactly what it mean! I invented the term... you copied it. By definition it means the same (according to technical sources not what everyone thinks it means) as SSO.
  14. It was free late last year though, which is the point.
  15. It was free in that event (when you had to have SLG)... I don't believe it is the case now it does not require it. Everyone pays I believe.
  16. When you say AD integration, do you mean having the SaSO (Same Sign On - @vikpaw ), so using the same logins as your windows accounts?
  17. No need to apologise, divulge away, I have always supported making as much information public as possible. Groupcall have nothing to hide in terms of pricing! Can't speak for others. I'm just reporting that the pricing has changed from what has been quoted above
  18. Just to clear one thing up as Emerge & price has been mentioned here (OK mods?), the price for Emerge has been reduced and is comparable/competitive with other 'similar products'. Customers will shortly (this week) be receiving information about this with our update newsletter.
  19. A consideration for you is; is it the processing of the application forms that is consuming your time? Are you looking for a whole process, or looking to streamline a process you already have? Are you looking to have an online/self service application feed into your MIS? This might help you and others refine what you are asking/answering
  20. It uses a data extraction piece. A third party
  21. Actually happy to say I know these guys a little bit they have a great product, solid and really well put together. Know they have a good number of schools (100+ for sure) and is continually developed in line with customer requirements.
  22. Bobba Fett amazing character and vastly underused in the star wars universe. loved the game
  23. Rogue Squadron on N64 was really good actually... Also BOUNTY HUNTER (bobba fett ) was really enjoyable I've never found a truly outstanding and worthy flight sim star wars game... Would love to see Elite: Dangerous team take that on!
  24. TripAdvisor for NHS Ironically TRIPadvisor works perfectly!
  25. Perhaps there was audio of the crash... still no music might have been better
