I'm currently starting out with mindful meditation (ironically 4 days before the big TV announcement today). Taking control of the mind to make/train yourself to be calm and controlled and switch the mind off. No pills no tech no magnets... WiFi still on at home!

Also consider the placebo effect... switched off WiFi expecting positive results probably yielded positive results, if only psychologically

Spooks: pretty good basically like a long episode (huge Spooks fan). Hope it opens the door for new series when Kit Harrington is killed off in GOT. It got a little lost in the middle trying to adaquately allow Peter Firth the acting space he sorely deserves (top actor). Avenger 2: liked it on every level, better than the first BUT felt the story was just not as good and grandiose as it should have been.

Mwahahah why not! Although the evil person in me considers the remote wipe feature right now... lol

Just to echo an earlier comment.... oh dear we are back here again. File it. Save it. Come back to it again in 2 years when some doctor wants to be famous for 5 minutes... which every time becomes 1 more minute wasted we will all never get back.

Tricky one. Agree with you however I get annoyed when in my city at a certain junction waiting to turn right they pass the line en mass, wait for lights to Change then plough right while traffic coming in (it is a T junction) are also turning right where these idiots are crossing. The assumption is they crossed the line so red light means nothing to them and they have right of way over green light traffic....

When we have 650 odd MPs to elect how can it be fairer? I agree is sucks and there will be calls for change (UKIP got millions of votes!) But how?

Well at least the Scottish referendum won't happen. They had their shot... what will it turn into otherwise: one a year? That is not democracy when you revote when you don't get the answer you want.

Indeed. He just looks like a stooge. He looks like he had the same tips about smiling as Gordon Brown got! The thing that got me was he never looks imposing or confident about the policies his party were setting out. Cameron is very composed and a strong individual. Right or wrong about the policies he will push out the country needs a strong leader.

I've just woken to find that Boris Johnson won his seat. In that same constituency were two looney parties (awesome fact #1)... and there were 3 candidates that got less votes than them (awesome game that #2) That's made the election worthwhile for me!

All true! Perhaps if you had voting over a week (postal votes?) That might counter some issues, but yes it would need to be a decent website let's face it. I just think it is rediculous thay we still do this sort of thing on paper! On the No Vote yes it would need heavy publicity to say this is a vote to say you do not want any party... then who sponsors that? No party will even mention it, so it has to be an independent body... and who is truly independent let's face it?

So my point being how can voting be made more accessible? It will address part of the problem. The other is the age old thing: if you don't like a party then I won't vote for anyone. It is different for voting No Vote. Would people go and vote for 'no one' just to show their displeasure? I don't have the answer just saying it is a voting culture issue for decades now

To be fair, if you are unhappy with the government, other countries in the past few years have found ways of making popular change! I'm in no way condoning violence... let me be very clear on that... but mass strikes and marches on parliament, and not just token strikes but indefinite ones would make a difference quickly. People coming together and support a change

But that requires people to vote No Vote... half the problem is people just can't be bothered. Are we ever going to get to the stage of online voting? I mean we can do just about everything else official online, pay tax get a passport...

Petition the new government to hold a referendum is about the best we have...

So in the same way newspapers publish who some is or has voted for? Read any paper this week and it will be littered with that. Plus... they and we could be lying!!
