We purchased a 4-year site licence from @VeryPC for <£1000 just a few months ago. This covers all our Smart and non-Smart boards.

I'll try my very best. It does depend on me being... organised, though. :shudder: Our school doesn't finish until Wednesday 25th, so I would have to pack the car in the morning and head off straight after school.

Is there room for a Northerner at this South Central Meet? I'm supposed be driving down to Brighton to visit friends that week. If I can organise myself to set-off Wednesday night, I could take a detour via Salisbury - pitching a tent somewhere along the way.

If there were no signs specifically prohibiting parking on the pavement then you were fine parking as you did, as you were clearly not causing an obstruction to pedestrians (apart from those more than 6-foot wide!)

What would this woman and her friend do if somebody else came down the street, in the opposite direction, with a double pram? I've not had a landline (or a TV service) for about 8 years... maybe longer. I currently have VM Broadband only (50Mbps) that I managed to haggle down to £26 pcm. Seriously considering binning even that next time it goes up, as I hardly ever use it. I have a Virgin Mobile contract with 2GB data, 1500 minutes plus 1000 mins to 0845/0870 numbers and unlimited calls to other Virgin mobiles - all for £9 per month. Baaahhhhgin!

Thanks, @elsiegee40. It's the browser version and I've tried Chrome and IE on Windows 8.1, and even Edge on Windows 10. I've not tried from home, only in school.

I've considered making a fake 'You have attempted to access pornography' page on our website and opening it on any unlocked laptops I find. Either that or leaving a Word document open that reads, 'Guess what I've been doing on your laptop...?' Never quite had the courage to actually do it, though.

It's just a shame it's not last Friday. That led to a particularly good weekend; much better than the one ahead.

That was what I thought, to be honest. It bears all the hallmarks of box-ticking, backside-covering, passing-the-buck, 'We're complying with the law based on the information provided' exercise to me. It's also encouraging parents to say, 'I'm not giving them my credit card details. Just say your over 18.'

I was thinking about that earlier. Our school is right next to a park and it looks really bleak when the trees are all bare. Over the last few weeks, they've become full of leaves and blossom again. Spring has finally sprung.

As has been discussed in other threads, it is up to the school to determine which software/third parties it uses to process personal data. While it is considered by many to be good practice to advise parents of software/online provision used by the school, we do not need their consent.
