I use Plex at home and absolutely love it. Even has WAF. How do you find the naming / display / organisation of your own videos ? (As in my blu-ray rips are all catalogued but my home movies seem untidy) Wondered how people manage videos in school.

I'll get used to the V6 and I think they'll sound good with the turbos. Bit disappointed Ted Kraviz didn't need earphones. Those V8s were loud in the flesh - TV doesn't do then justice. I remember people complaining about the V8's when we moved from V10. The noses are fugly tho. Caterham worst by a mile. The merc deserves to win on looks alone.

Hi all I have Primary schools with just one physical DC. The server normally runs AD, DHCP, DNS, print server. Sometimes they also run WSUS and even occasionally a SIMS server too. I would like to start virtualising - with new hardware. I'm concerend that many of my schools will be on a budget and not sure if they'd benefit from virtual servers. My questions would be 1. Is it worth Virtualising my only DC? 2. Is it recommended? 3. Can I use some large capacity internal drives for storage between all VM's? The older server could stay as a secondary DC if necessary but isn't good enough to run VM's on really. I have a cheapy Epson xp405 at home - does the job but I rarely use it. Over a year old and used half a dozen times bit inks ok so far. Probably not cheapest to run but fine for me. In one of our schools we have some hp 8600e all in ones. Work fine although again not the greatest running costs on the work. And more than your budget. Finally, check out what was known as fingerprint and other such software. Runs on a computer and turns your printer into an AirPrint printer

Jenson a couple of years younger than me a same age as my bro. We lost our dad late last year and he was john buttons age. Feel so sad for JB. John Button seemed a real good laugh and nice fella. So many messages from the drivers and Motorsport community saying what a great guy he was.

You can probably find the titles numbers somewhere on the internet. But generally you'll have the 4/6 episode files that have similar time length and file size. The special features tend to be smaller. The episodes tend to be in the order they are on disc but i find sometimes it's trial and error.

As a private company I'll respond to e-mails at most hours - normally from my phone. I'll take the occasional phone call and look at something remotely of its major. Since having kids I've found it much easier to say no (or ignore until Monday) if I need to spend time with the family. That's more important than anything and most of my primary schools appreciate that and what I do!

Gotta say we've used tp-link when needs / budget must and it's been great. The wireless was cheap and cheerful but did a job. Have some gigabit switches in that also server a purpose. One failed (PSU) but was replaced under warranty. It was fitted on a place with not a lot of ventilation at the time too. Can't say that we've had any real trouble. The perform very well given their price and what you'd expectant that point.

Yes, I do mainly blu-rays these day. I always use makemkv first then handbrake. Handbrake 9.9 will cope with blu-ray subtitles too. I think legally you still shouldn't do it but you'd be okay for home use only. It works well for my little uns - especially with a Plex client on the tv

All I really need is a 2tb USB 2.5" bus powered drive to backup my video collection. Bit boring though and don't feel like spending £85 on it.

Yep, I generally use makemkv to rip and handbrake to m4v and Into Plex. Certainly on Mac OS X. I sometimes use anydvd if I'm on my windows machine. Intend to rip blu-rays now but the above is equally at home with DVDs of course.
