Cant replicate it sorry, hopefully its a one off...

What colour reference did you use in the config for the font? Just want to check that you used an RGB reference only.

I'll see what I can do [emoji1]

I have now sorted the issues with general saving and saving from restored backup Also its too much effort to disable CTRL+ALT+DELETE, so I have forced ExamWordPad to stay on top most above all programs, If you wish to disable Task Manager then please do so via GPO. version 1.9.6 is attached below ExamWritePad196.zip

When I run it live or in debug it is from my H: drive which is a mapped home folder. Never crashes. I'm pretty sure that .net framework 1 and 2 apps had to have security setup on each client to allow running from a network location but .net 3/4 I'm not sure how it now works so will check it out. In terms of the save issue I will check it out, not sure what has happened there but will release a new version tomorrow with a fix [emoji106]🏻[emoji106]🏻[emoji1][emoji1]

Just putting this little one out there, would anyone see the benefit of disabling keys like ALT+F4, ALT + TAB, Windows keys etc? Just to stop people closing the app unintentionally or switching away from the app, what do you think?

Looking at the Undo bit you referred to before. This is what Microsoft say about textbox.undo "This method will undo the last Clipboard or text change operation performed in the text box control if the CanUndo property returns true."
-
@%1; I have now fixed the printer selection issue. Also I have changed the file extension from "ExamText" to "ExamTextBackup" for the purpose of Previous version backups. Version 1.9.5 is now available to play with... have fun!! ExamWordPad195.zip
-
I will look into different file extensions and quite agree that they should be separate. The undo function is what ever the .net 4 textbox.undo does. May need to take a look further, into this.
-
@Boredguy I've managed to make it .net 4 compatible so give it a try on Windows XP @gshaw The Previous Version with Blank DefaultBackupPath is now fixed Attached is version 1.9.4 ExamWordPad194.zip
-
If the backup path is blank then the app will set it to the program data path. I will double check tomorrow just to make sure it is ok.
-
Dot net 4.5 framework I'm afraid, so no XP support sorry. There is a feature in the code which is only in 4.5
-
Is anyone using it for exams in a live environment? Would love to know if so [emoji106]🏻
-
Thanks [emoji106]🏻

Would Apple Classroom only work with school owned devices that are supervised? It possible if all students bought in their own iPads? I would assume it doesn't work or is not practical.

We have cunninghams and its only issue we have is the fingerprint reader sometimes doesn't recognise fingers so we have shown the catering staff where to unplug and plug in the USB connection for the reader.
-
Your wish is my command :-) Version 1.9.3 is attached and you can now specify a "DefaultBackupPath" in the config file. ExamWritePad193.zip

They won't because the software will only recall the last hour of backups from each time the program is launched. And in reality the time from when the morning exam finishes to when the afternoon exams starts is around one hour. Also don't forget that the exam that is taken will never be taken again, so what use is a backup after an exam is finished? The auto recover data could be saved anywhere but you would have to make sure the folder where it is stored has write permission. The reason for the program data folder is because it is writable off the bat, in Windows 10.
-
Ok will take a look. Don't forget if you have been using the software for longer than one minute you can select a previous version to restore if things go wrong.

Here you go v1.9.2 Fixed - Word Count Added - AutoSave option (located in config) ExamWritePad192.zip
-
Word count is now fixed! coming in 1.92. Have changed the whole function to match regular expression. so now works with carriage returns, full stops, semi colons, commas, spaces etc..
-
I'll take a look, thanks [emoji1]

im going to post a minor update 1.91 later today, I've added to the config the option to turn on/off the AutoSave Feature. 1 = on 0 = off You dont have to download this if you feel you dont need it you...
-
Hi Folks, The issue in 1.9 is down to the config file. To fix it please insert the missing to end the "DoubleLineSpacingPrint" so it should look like below 0 [b] [/b] 0
-
Have you changed the config file from the defaults?
