Ok i see the logic making sure they fill all boxes when split down. I'm thinking; box 1 = Board, box 2 = subject, box 3 = unit code/paper reference. But to make it fit for all outcomes I would need to look at past papers for each exam body to see if they all ask for the same/similar info. The Boards I currently know of are: AQA EDXCEL WJEC CCEA OCR Any others?

What is your reasoning behind such a request? :-) Just so I can understand whether most other users would potentially think your way of thinking. I dont want to please one and annoy 1,000 others if you know what I mean :-)

Ok I will add "Paper Reference" to the screen. Are you referring to just the entry details screen or on the header that is printed out? Because when it is printed it just reads "Exam: abcdefg etc.." which is more generic to fit any outcome.

When had the same issue and replaced the motherboards, re-ghosted and all was ok.

:-) Out on interest does your AV software flag it up or are you just being cautious? Would be interested to know what threat if any it pops up with. Hopefully the software will be the answer to all you exam needs :-)

In my layout I put in one tile to a folder path on a shared area for everyone. Don't know where settings and edge are coming from but they are not in the custom layout xml file

Had a further play and sorry but no joy still looks pants! Is there any way not to have a layout and just a start menu? I know once you have deleted all the tiles you can resize the layout to only display the start menu.

I put the xml file in the netlogon folder but still doesn't apply, I even tried setting the registry entry for startmenulayoutfile as a GPO registry, doesn't apply that either

Thanks, that is what I have tried to do but I have never once got it to apply a custom layout via GPO. My steps were to login as local admin, customise the layout the powershell export the file and set it in the GPO. Do I have to import it back in after export or is this step just for the default profile layout?

Ok thanks, our start layout just needs a few links to network folders, no actual apps.

Hi folks, We can't seem to get a start layout xml file to work via GPO. We're are running Win10 Edu, fully updated etc... We have set a GPO that set the StartLayout on both Computer and user sections specifying a local path. It doesn't apply the layout and just has two tiles on it, settings and edge. I even used the default profile default layouts xml file and it didn't work with that one. What is more bizarre, is that if I login as a domain admin that doesn't use a network profile, it creates me a new local profile based on the default but doesn't use the default layout as specified in the default layout xml file. Can anyone shed some light?

Im not sure if I have setup the LDAP auth correctly. I can get AD users to login but did you set (image below) the homeDirectory as an LDAP attribute? if so what do i Insert here? Thanks

We have issues with AirPlay on iOS 10, AirServer seem to point the finger towards iOS 10. I have to agree because my iPhone 6 on iOS 10 is OK but newer iPads on iOS 10 don't AirPlay. I'm pretty sure it will be sorted soon, and I seem to recall they did this with iOS 7 or 8 a while ago. But yes you are correct, but not ideal, a cron job to restart would be my choice.

This is ours, we currently have the same page for both staff and students but because they are auth'd against AD we get their group memberships so we can split if we needed to but at the moment all the links on the homepage require further logging in so really there isn't a need yet.
