  1. We do. It’s the ports rather than anything from a filtering side
  2. We only have a few A3 for the producers. You can pass them around by unassigning and reassigning but it isn’t instant.
  3. Get-CSOnlineUser will show you the individual policies assigned to the user. The usual -Identity and pipe select will allow you to filter what you are actually looking for
  4. The Intune connector is only to allow for devices to be joined to your domain remotely via AutoPilot. It will not affect software. Does the software show install failures on the devices/users or does it not show as attempting to install at all? You could create a group, add your test device as the member and then assign to that group, rather than using All Devices
  5. So you have imported an msi you are trying to deploy? What is the assignment set to?
  6. Get a better reseller then! Have they given you the part number of the Microsoft product?
  7. Across the Trust about 180/1000 at the moment. New school coming in Summer and one of the others is only KS1 currently as only 2 years old
  8. Their fair use policy is a 1:1 ratio between users and Teams/SharepointSites. Keep using it but don’t be surprise if one day they twig [emoji6]
  9. What do you want to know. We sync O365 with AD. AD is hosted in Azure but it isn’t actually required for what we do with Intune. You could just create an Office 365 account and they login with that. We need AD for Papercut and some other apps we run, mainly our help desk tools. DHCP and DNS is handled by the switches. Most of it we have figured our ourselves. We use AutoPilot so devices are shipped to school, unboxed and instantly put into circulation. The Student will enrol the device by logging in first time. Staff devices get different policies based on a GroupTag loaded into AutoPilot. OneDrive auto signs in, KFM kicks in. We use Cloud Drive Mapper to map some SharePoint Sites are drive letters. Everything MS is SSO without the need for any additional servers. Bitlocker automatically gets enabled and keys saved in Intune. Look at everything you do currently then see what cannot be replicated. Intune has a lot less control than GPO but its getting more. Simple things like hiding the c: drive is possible but must be done PowerShell scripts so we mainly don’t bother now.
  10. We buy “Intune for Education” licenses. Faculty costs about £6 per year and you get 15 Student licenses with that. We pay about £250 per month to host all the Azure servers.
  11. Filtering was a problem as there is no AD authentication. We got round that by using Netsweeper that support AzureAD authentication. Papercut printing was also a problem. We use Printix to get around that. SLT were fully behind the whole thing. They actively push the latest trends so are willing to accept problem and solutions. No backups in place apart from Office 365 general stuff. Although we are looking into it. We have 1Gb connections at all schools now. Generally sit at around 700meg most of the day. This is a Microsoft Showcase School, 1:1 Surfaces for Y2 upwards. There is a lot of Data in Office 365 and with the Teams and ClassNotes this creates a lot of traffic.
  12. You are backing all this up for just £5 a month? How many Teams? How much data?
  13. Thanks, I think that will help. I am working on it remotely and frogot to edit the VLAN ID in the config file so now lost access to that phone! Will have to wait until tomorrow to reset and try properly
  14. Using the onscreen menu to change the phone mode to SIP. Can't seem to do firmware upgrade until we can get to this menu
  15. Looking at moving a number of Mitel 5312 phones to a SIP system. I can change the phone to SIP and access a basic web GUI to configure the settings. This gets the phone working. However I can not access any other menu. So the time/date is incorrect for example. It looks like, according to screenshots I have found online, that there should be a menu beneath the Quick Start on the web gui but it does not show. Has anyone else some of these phones that can access the Web GUI properly?
  16. We do this at one of our schools. The other schools are moving to AzureAD only this Summer. This will allow us to remove all servers on site, with only 3 running in Azure as well. Let me know what specific questions you have
  17. The connection didn’t drop, just web browsing was affected. Not sure how proactive monitoring would be able to check that?
  18. Off the top of my head it’s about 0.97p per month per FTE EDIT: It’s closer to 50p per month so about £6 per year per FTE
  19. Correct
  20. You pay per FTE but then can request more Staff licenses for free. I haven’t come across anything not included in the EDU version yet and I use the full blown management not the Intune for Education portal
  21. I have a stack of two Dlink DXS-3400-24SC switches. I have found a helpful guide from them on how to do it now you have mentioned Policy Based Routing ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dxs/dxs-3400-24tc/documentation/DXS-3x00_HowTo_PolicyBasedRouting.pdf
  22. I am testing a new internet router and need a test VLAN to use this router but everything else to use the normal one for now. I am assuming I need to edit my Static Route. Currently I have 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.1.1.1 I want subnet 10.1.2.0/24 to use router 10.1.1.6/29 Would I need to edit the current default Static route?
  23. Inc VAT I assume these prices are?
  24. Does P1 cover Trust IPs? I though you needed P2 for that?
  25. We bought some A3 licenses to do this. Took 24 hours to apply but the users with the license can now create Live Events from with in Teams.
