  14. We are recruiting for no fewer than 6 Technology Support Officers to work in various areas of the country: Yorkshire, Isle of Wight, Birmingham, Essex, Milton Keynes and Middlesbrough! If you are passionate about technology and making a positive impact on young people's lives, this could be the perfect role for you. PM for for more details Milton Keynes: https://bit.ly/3LHoQRf Isle of Wight: https://bit.ly/3BFeU6o Essex: https://bit.ly/3ByEzgX Middlesbrough: https://bit.ly/3H1iV5Z Yorkshire: https://bit.ly/3I1oGCf Birmingham: https://bit.ly/3H1W8qX
  15. I just had a look out of curiosity and SMART still have one product on their website M700 series Whether they are actually being made anywhere is another matter
  16. No it's not the same One is a deliberate act of destruction, the other could be forgetfulness or similar due to nerves This is a young person's future we are talking about here, how about you show some compassion? And WE shouldn't be putting our own onus on anything. There aren't being examined on their ability to plan ahead in case the laptop crashes on them. They have enough in their heads without IT deciding not to put in a system to help them because "they need to take responsibility"
  17. I was wondering if there is any appetite to tidy up some of the forums on the site? (disclaimer: this is a great site and the mods to a great job) A few areas feel to me like they are sort of rotting in plain site: The Windows XP forum being at the top of the first page, and frequently getting mistaken for a general Windows forum) Vista and older versions of Windows Server being other culprits of hogging the top spots. Can these be mothballed or consolidated under a legacy section? Learning network manager forum - refers to a VERY legacy system, frequently mistaken for a forum for people starting out as NMs Netbooks, PDAs and Phones - probably needs its name modernising! Under regional, there are a whole load of sub forums that barely get touched. This means that useful stuff like the supplier forums get pushed well down Just observations, I gather it might not be a priority but I thought I would ask the question. Happy to help if I can!
  18. I think I have said this before, but I have never seen on edugeek (or heard in person) of a single school removing CC4 and regretting it. It simply doesn't happen. It's a bad product that fails to deliver in some pretty fundamental ways and costs a premium.
  19. ** bump ** last few days to apply, PM for more details
  20. With this and winning United Learning recently, do we think Arbor might become the next "big boys" of the MIS market.... or at least in the MAT sector?
  21. Its neither. A password reset is the fix, not the issue Thats like asking "is a new PC a service request an incident or a request?". Depends why you are replacing it.. did the old PC blow up (incident) or is this an item for a new starter (service request) The password reset could be due to an incident (account compromised, erm... corrupt password database?) but more likely a service request (I need a new password because I forgot mine)
  22. We are seeking to appoint a Technology Support Officer to provide whole school support to Clacton Coastal Academy & Hamford Primary Academy in the use of technology to aid teaching and learning, and more generally technology to aid running the school. This is a new role for our trust, with the potential for massive future growth PM me if you have any questions or fancy an informal chat https://www.tes.com/jobs/vacancy/technology-support-officer-clacton-on-sea-1496642?preview=1
  23. How well developed is the game? £23.79 is quite steep when you are stingy like me....
  24. Just saw this thread and found the same problem! We thought we had changed the settings too....
  25. I presume what3words is very careful about making "interesting" combinations? I had a password generator the other day spit out "BentGirl17!" or something similar, and the even shakier "BlackFailure1_?" which I felt was one to avoid....
