@Torledo....I wasn't suggesting that the OP get Oracle...I was responding with what was used at our place. I know it costs a LOT in licensing. The initial outlay for the software and then the licensing is astronomical. And yes.....very difficult to implement because of the configuration of the actual interfaces etc (so i'm told).

We used Oracle Financials which was hosted by the LEA. Having used Oracle Financials during a data entry job for Carrilion Rail, I can personally say I don't like it. It's a slow and that's AFTER it's loaded onto the local PC using that god aweful java nonsense. Quicken was another package that the bursar used. Sage is a popular choice so I'm told. Through all of this we had CMIS on the system but it was never used I don't think, neither was the SIMS stuff before that IIRC.

I don't suppose you'd be taking industrial placement student's for such a position? I've got an industrial placement year starting in July 2008 running until September 2009 and that job sounds awesome!

Pay off my loans and overdraft. Overhaul my home network and my servers, rackmount everything. Buy a new bass amp. An ashdown should do it Learn to drive. Get a car...get insured. Pay mum's debts and stuff. Buy my mates some crap lol that sort of thing I wouldn't mind that it'd go quickly I'd have no problem continuing to work. Mebbe I'd take some advice on invseting some of it to get a return on it but that'd be about it for the time being Oh yh and pay the gas bill that landed on my doorstep yesterday.
