I'd forgotten about HC doing that! He'd do as Shep. I still want to see an adaptation of the main storyline. The other bits can come later if it's a hit, or they could do a "Shadow & Bone" and merge stuff in that people love in case it isn't.

Well the second tease above seems to suggest that Liara is looking for a lost Shepherd, and doesn't seem to suggest that Synthesis happened which narrows things down. I'd love to see a big budget TV show as long as Shepherd doesn't choose to wipe out all inorganic life, which just doesn't sit right with me. Plus I love the music I got when I made my choice (which doesn't seem to fit with "Destroy"). A problem that might rear it's head with an adaptation would be "My Shep was male/female/gay/romanced /renegade/whatever". I personally think Luke McFarlane (Killjoys, Bros) would make a good Shep.

November 7th is/was N7 day and we got a load of small clips from the upcoming Mass Effect game that stitched together to show... someone walking down a corridor. at least the teaser from 2 years ago was a bit more inspiring!

Season 2 starts next week.

Not that I got to wfh for more than a few days, but I have similar. Work stuff is opened in a separate virtual desktop so that I had take a break and switch to my personal desktop. Still on W10 at home, so I have a start menu "work" group.

Even better: Ditch SIMS and get a decent cloud-based MIS. Probably cheaper, better, and less likely to try renewal shenanigans.

Finished Season 2 of Wheel of Time. Maybe it was down to it being a "Friday night" show, but struggled to stay awake, which left me wondering what was going on in the fairly decent finale! Also finished Lockwood & Co on Netflix. OK, but skewed a bit young for me and Lockwood was a bit of an insufferable prat. Might have improved had it not been cancelled.

I'd say its popularity is down to the fact that, at the time, it was fresh and something that hadn't been done to death. Haven't seen it in an age, but I remember watching it multiple times on release and home release. There are various versions of the movie, some with different sound mixes. Tiger Zinda Hai Tiger is Alive aka Tiger 2 aka YRF Spy Universe 2 (Rental many places) After the events of Ek Tha Tiger (Once There Was a Tiger) Tiger and Zoya are living a quiet family life "somewhere in the Alps... Innsbruck". Well apart from the ravening wolves and armed robbers at the supermarket. When a bus transporting 25 Indian nurses in Iraq is seized by terrorists the US sees them as expendable and decides to bomb the hospital they are held in to take out the terrorist leader. With only a few days to rescue the nurses, only one man and his scarf are up to the task but it turns out that the bus also contained Pakistani nurses, so they too reactivate their best agent. After the "romcom with action" style of the first movie, this is a full-on action flick, and much better for it. The "true events" it takes from are that Indian nurses were held, but it was all resolved fairly quickly through negotiation which wouldn't have made such a thrilling film. Worth a look if you're into Indian action movies though unless, like us, you're hoping to catch Tiger 3 at the cinema (out soon for Diwali) if you have Prime Video you may want to wait until they return it to their roster. I'm assuming that they have temporarily pulled it due to similarities to current events. There is a handy "interval" around 1/2 way through if you don't have time to watch a 3 hour movie in one sitting. Oh, and Salman Khan has certainly hit the gym since the first movie!

I can't believe that Netflix didn't flag up to me that they are now showing this in a (slightly) extended cut. It was released today, on star Shah Rukh Khan's birthday.

Finished Good Omens Season 2, which I preferred to S1. The ending managed to be both heart-warming and heartbreaking, though it was spoiled by a HUGE exposition dump in the form of a flashback that might have worked had clues to it all been better spread through the season so that it was less "Huh? I didn't see that coming!" and more "Ah! I should have guessed that!". Also, no Adria Arjona.

You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah (Netflix) BFFs Stacy and Lydia have been planning their Bat Mitzvahs like, forever but when a boy comes between them things start to go wrong. For those who (like me) thought that Bat Mitzvahs were much like the Jewish version of Christian "Confirmation", apparently we're well out of date (this is based on a 2005 novel). A Bat Mitzvah, at least amongst rich Jewish Americans, seems require the budget and planning of a rich person's wedding. Adam Sandler is presumably still paying off his two daughters' BMs as they both star as his daughters in this, and his wife has a part as someone else's wife. It has its moments, but it's hard to feel too sympathetic towards someone who comes across as a spoiled little brat for much of the film.

Ncuti Gatwa's second season starts filming. Meanwhile the BBC have yet to broadcast the specials that proceed his first. Whilst I guess they need to spend it while they've got it, this seems an odd move to me. Aren't second seasons normally a chance to make course corrections based on viewer feedback? I guess averyone thinks RTD can do no wrong.
