  6. I done mine this time last year, the instructor wont take you out if the conditions are dangerous. If you can learn to ride in the cold and snow you can ride in any condition

  8. Had my eye on them for a while but I cannot find a dealer that stocks rieju using a finance company that would approve me. Ever owned any derbi bikes? I know they are Spanish, not Chinese but im worried its gonna snap in half after a year if i go for it.
  9. Sorry for the late reply, was an extra. has since cracked and been removed now. Ordering either a derbi gpr125 or a yam yzf125r today or tomorrow, Decisions decisions!
  10. My YBR, wont have her for long though as I am buying my first 600cc next month.
  11. Yeah I did, on both machines.
  12. Restarted the server and the installs are fine now, no clue what was causing the issue however and capita has been pretty useless on the matter.
  13. Hello, The network admin has asked me to try and install sims updates to our classroom workstations, all have updated fine apart from two. They just return the error message stated in the thread title, I have manually set the DNS server and tried plugging the machines ethernet cable into different ports but to no avail. As is I have not been trained in solus or sims as an it technician apart from some of the most basic of basic sims training so this is really doing my nut in now. Any and all help in much apreciated, thanks!
  14. How did you fix this issue? I am having the same problem currently.
  15. Thanks for the suggestions that do not seem to be having a dig, wrote up a checklist of all the suggestions for when the jobs run dry. Should keep me going til leaving time tomorrow
  16. Squeezing all the free training I can out of this place first
  17. Not uncommon to run out of jobs here, we are a very small school with only 1 laptop trolley and a few 7 year old classroom machines (the head does not see IT as a priority for learning and is old fashioned)
  18. Good shout! Looks like a day of filing ahead of me now then. LOL, sanskrit xD
  19. Hi Guys and Gals, Was just wondering what everyone does to keep boredom away and look busy when you have done all your jobs and have nothing to do? So far I have rearranged the entire office and repographics room, cleaned up the network drives and AD and made sure everything is up to date. So now I am just twiddling my thumbs and trying not to get caught on techcrunch-like sites by tabbing to a -t cmd box
  20. Done a speed test in the IT room and Behind the hut in a way that it is blocking signal and only lost 1Mbps and added 2 ping. We will only be installing about 3 computers in there as it will be a nursery hut. And cheers for that Hallb, that is probably going to be the route we go down.
  21. Just checked the signal and it is perfectly fine over there and though its a great shout, the cables will not allow for a powerline adapter. And i will check the specs of our AP's. thans guys will get back to you.
  22. A very good mornin' to you fellow geeks! Hoping that someone can advise on the best option with the following issue: We have had a new outdoor hut put in recently and we need to get a wifi signal over there. The company that installed our network is suggesting wiring over to the new hut and putting an AP in there or dangling a cable from the roof of an existing hut to the new one. All well and good but the school is pretty hard up on money at the moment so myself and the network manager are trying to push them to put a wifi booster in there as there will not be to many computers installed in there and it will be much cheaper. We currently have way too many Cisco air-lap1131ag-e-k9 AP's that were installed as part of building schools for the future and the new hut is no more than 20 meters from the closest AP's. So what would you personally advise and if you agree that a booster would be best could you reccomend a make/model. Thanks a tonne, eduhobnobs for you all haha.
  23. Just realised that the software we use for our UPS has cocked up. Was fixed by a reinstall, cheers!
  24. I am looking to try and fix the problem though, we restarted it twice yesterday and it does not take long before it messes up again.
  25. Hi peeps! The network admin is not in today and the drives and printers have gone offline, also i cannot remote into the server to check the problem (am on the server screen). When i logged onto the server, the screen was black with a flashing dos prompt cursor at the top then it loaded the desktop to reveal the following error "The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000005) occurred in the application at location 0x00235f9e." Anyone have a clue on how to sort the issue? Got the teachers screwing at me because they assume everything that goes wrong in IT is either the technicians or the admins fault. Not my day, running on a collective 11 hours sleep this week with a banging headache and now this. Can i haz eduhobnobs? I needz them!
