  3. Hi. Know this has been discussed to death, however I can't seem to use the solution. I'm having the 'my documents' problem where you go to the folder that stores all the Home drives and you get some users showing up correctly eg. jbloggs and some are showing as My documents. I believe the solution is to find the hidden desktop.ini file but I cannot find that with any of the problematic folders...am I missing something? Thanks George.
  4. Ok thank you both.
  5. Well the backup is 312GB and it's not compressed I'm not sure why it's not compressing?
  6. Hi, Okay so I have been trying to work this out for two days now but seem to be getting nowhere. We have a backup that is 312GB and we're trying to put this backup onto a tape. The tape has 400GB when compressed and 200GB native. However, whenever we set the backup to run in backup exec 2010 it stops when it gets 220GB and the tape ejects itself and wants another tape inserted. I'm not sure why this is happening considering the compression type is set to software. When the compression type is set to hardware the tape ejects itself after 198GB. Anybody have any ideas? Any help will be greatly received! Thanks George.
  7. Where I used to work, we had a IT suite in the sixth form area and then the students were also allowed to use there own laptops. There was also a sixth form office with a couple of staff. Oh but the computer's in that room got mistreated - I think this was a mixture of misbehaving students and no supervision.
  8. In my opinion BT is good for Internet and telephone, Sky for television and I'm on Vodafone for the mobile.
  9. Okay any good program that recovers it is good!
  10. Maybe Americans use that word to describe 'emails' more than 'email'.
  11. If it wasn't backed up then I would try using a file recovery program. Although I would say your chances are slim. In the past I have used Recuva and used the Deep scan option. (It may be full scan can't remember exact wording.) Download Recuva

    Snow!

Snow here in Bedfordshire. What usually takes twenty minutes to get to work took 90 this morning...
  23. Same. It's shocking how bad some of it is designed.
  24. There is Windows XP driver support.
  25. Yes you're right. It took me 20 minutes to find System Properties and that was with me having to use Windows Help.
