we had an engineer out a couple of weeks ago to apply a modification (small steel washer!) to the paper trays, he gave it a good overall so he could of upgraded the firmware ,although he never said anything... just checked now and the firmware is 9.54.0

We have one here, had problems with teachers who had upgraded to windows 10 (even after i told them not too!) with print jobs getting stuck at "spooling" but ive done a clean install of win10 on one laptop for testing, and ive not come accross any problems myself...

on your diagram where you have marked your walls and door frame, what are the walls built from? are they solid walls? ie brick/block plastered....or are they partition walls? ie timber studwork/plasterboard... reason i ask is if they are timber/plasterboard they could potentially be sitting on the old oak beam?? if you are certain they are not, and the old beam is in no way structual, then you could remove the beam to as much depth as you can, place some visqueen membrane down and then concrete/screed it back up,, the visqueen will then prevent and damp coming back up...make sure you have some soft sand beneath the visqueen to protect it from punctures when concreating.... if you can, get a good depth of concrete down (ideally 150mm)

this is exactly what i did! we are only a primary, with around 5 sisms users and small databases so sql express is fine for us, i thought at the time IF we ever need to upgrade to the full edition this would be the easiest option.... when you install sql express from the capita upgrade all the tcp\ip settings are sorted for you...

Thing is...they (BTLS) have been planning the migration since last year! it was included in last years SLA... it was planned to be done during the summer, which would of made sense as schools are closed...if a DNS change over takes upto 48 hours, then why do it during term time? why do it midweek?

well is doesn't seem to have worked! as i have 5 undeliverable emails in my inbox this morning from emails i sent 4 days ago to a school who migrated last week!
