Thanks for all your replies MatthewL i wouldn't of thought it would be a port issue, as it worked fine before we changed to lightspeed (and only the filtering has changed) ...but i may ring OCL and ask them... dhicks i looked for a peer2peer section in the lightspeed rocket and could only see the one in general, and that was disabled (by default) SchoolsBroadband ill look into adding her ip into the ignore rule, if it does take all the filtering off ill have to perhaps look into another way...also shes not in school everyday so after the default 8 days her ip would get changed, and i don't really want to give her laptop a static as she works in various schools... thanks again...

Hi all, we have an Action for Children worker who comes into school and remotes into her works computer using Citrix, when we were on netsweeper it worked fine, now we have moved over to lightspeed its not.... Ive added the URL to the filter and it will allow her to connect, but as soon as she tries to run an application, citrix refuses the connection and gets timed out... anybody else having issues? any recommendations?

ive changed a laptop lcd with the battery still connected! doh! never again! think it blew a fuse on the mainboard, had to then get that repaired as well!!

ok thanks, i was hoping i could extend the curric range, but then thought with the new lightspeed filtering now up and running, and the filtering based on the ip used....it would be a good idea for me to move all the staff over to the admin range, then i would also have separate filtering for staff/students in place.. and would probably not need to extent the curric range for now at least.... i notice our server already has 2 network cards in (although one is disabled for some reason?) so would i have to run a network cable from the cisco switch to the other network card, then setup a new scope in dhcp in the admin range?? you've completely lost me with the "tag VLAN" bit! Ive never had the need to use vlans so know nothing about them... also i wouldn't be sure which ports on the cisco switch have been setup for the admin range.... a lot to think about!

Primary, single network on curric ip range, but running out of ips! project for the future is to start to use the admin ip range for staff, but not sure where to start!

When clearly its not! just happened yesterday on my laptop, then on desktop, and now on site managers desktop.... i installed some MS updates yesterday? maybe its linked? anyone else having this issue? yes i could tell action center to stop informing me my antivirus is out of date, but why is it doing it?

i had a little mess with Airserver a few months ago, all went well until i tried to play videos on the ipad and Airserver crashed on the classroom laptop? pretty high spec laptop too.... don't know if there's been any updates to Airserver since, but since nobody as asked me ive not looked at it since...

Thanks for all input on this thread.. I’ve just managed to successfully install it onto a workstation.... 1st attempt failed, but after removing all files and sims.ini file (in c:/windows!) then disable UAC it installed without a hiccup THANKS!

Thanks for that Chris, i installed it onto my desktop last night at home and i was able to play a video clip from my iphone to desktop flawlessly on Airserver i tried the same on my laptop at home and it wont play (just freezes) At school today ive installed Reflection and i can play video clips from ipad and iphone to my laptop....allthough they are stuttery both wirelessly and hardwired, they do play and the app refuses to crash! shame really cos i prefer the Airserver over the Reflection, just seems better? more testing for me

ipad 2 & iphone 4s, top spec laptop (i will also try it on my home pc) funny thing is i can record a video whilst mirrored and its fine, also facetime etc no probs with getting mirrored image, not jerky or anything, just when i try to play a video thats in my camera roll/pictures folder.... im at home now and just tried it, although it doesnt crash, it just freezes and hard drive goes mental?? i just tried to play a music video on my iphone and ipad via youtube whilst mirrored and again it mirrors it perfectly....weird...
