  1. I uses a script to add the printers as well, but i also use a uninstall script to get them off. They too have roaming profiles, it does not matter if they are deleted off the server first the printer still appears in the printers folder saying 'unable to connect' As long as i put the correct path in the script ( even though it has been deleted beforehand) the eprint will uninstall. Only draw back is it has to be done manully and while they are on the network. Let me kow if you want a copy.
  2. We are looking at purchasing IWB and Projector bundles from them. Anyone used them? http://www.interactive-education.co.uk

  5. Never heard of it, searched the HP site and can't find it but don't really know what i'm looking for. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
  6. I need to re-install server 2003 on this Proliant ML370. It is going to be used purely as a print server. When the install gets to around 36 minutes the display goes off. i think i have seen this before when Windows could not relate to the AGP device? How do i get around this as i am off site with no AGP card with me. Also i have downloaded the SCSI drivers from the HP site and i get the option to choose 3, it warned me that these were newer than Windows so i chose these. But i can't seem to work how how to configure the raid to Raid5. It seems it was previously configured as 3 separate drives.
  7. Manually install of Sims
  8. Cheers for the advice guys,.
  9. I did a search on Google for Q-res and its the bottom but one link. If i click on the link this is what i get in the browser..... http://www.edugeek.net/redirect.php?type=Forums&topic_id=
  10. Looks like its Sophos. Do you mean on access scanning on the Sims server or on the workstation I am installing it on.
  11. Can you tell me which projectors have a 3yr warranty on bulbs?
  12. Did you use the wireless version or the one connected via USB?
  13. As long as we don't loose any potential new members when the links do not resolve.
  14. Are these the bulbs that are like print cart re=fills? As in the take parts of your old bulb and re-build it with some new parts so you end up getting a sort of reconditioned bulb?
  15. When i do a search on Google and a link is shown for a Edugeek forum post i get the following error error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 Is this just me or is the same for everyone else?
  16. We are looking at purchasing a few projectors. I know now that the price has come down a fair bit and also that some manufacturers also give a 3yr warranty on the bulbs as well. One thin i need to bear in mind ( possibly) is that all our staff have new wide screen laptops now so the resolution is an issue ( or is it)
  17. We are thinking of purchasing a few Mimio bars so we can turn our normal Whiteboards into interactive ones. We currently have a ceiling mounted Projector in this rooms and would like to put a few Mimio's in them. I had a look at the Mimio stand at Bett and was very impressed with them for the price. We want to use these for a number of reasons but mainly to keep the cost down of turning the rooms into interactive. I also quite liked the capture version but i don't think this would really be needed in this case.
  18. I have just installed Sims Workstation on a computer. The computer has 750mb ram and a P4 2.8. It has took what seems like an eternity (20mins) to install. What should be a normal time to do this?
  19. I was wondering what would be a good option to use here. I saw someone using VMWare Fusion yesterday which had XP Pro running as a Virtual Machine. Now, I have no knowledge on Mac's but i thought this would be a good idea our Arts staff who use Mac Notebooks to get a way of using XP as well and being able to use all the network resources available to all the XP clients. I know there is Mac Server options but i don't think this is viable for a small number of Mac laptops. I know a little about Parallels but wondered which would be the best option and also the easiest.
  20. Bugger.........I would have liked a copy of that.
  21. The normal really, Mugs and pens galore, USB sticks, Two t-Shirts and the stress ball gadgets.
  22. I was wondering this as well, I may be going on a 3 day 2007 Exchange server course if i can get the funding.
  23. nearly purchased these.......glad i went for the Homeplug now.
  24. I have set the Active Desktop wallpaper to show what picture i choose. I have checked all the GPO settings and also all the permissions on the network folder that contains the images and everything is ok. What is really weird is that the picture appears on the desktop during the log on process and also the applying security settings but as soon as this finishes the image disappears and they just get a blue background and a little white square in the corner of the screen with a red cross in it. The staff have roaming profiles and i have re-created of one of the users to rule that out as well. Any ideas?
