Is anyone off to see part 2 over the weekend? All the screenings here seemed to be very full and all the good seats taken, so I'll probably be going with my brother next week at some point. And you are allowed to speak about it openly on here as the plot isn't exactly secret!

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm in the market for a new car too since mine got written off, and it's a lousy time of year to try and get a new car as everyone seems to drive them though the winter before selling them in the spring. I hope you find something soon though.

I really hope 'Teacup' is a codename for the project as Stinger is nothing as civilized! -
It's just been announced that Hairy Biker Dave Myers had passed away last night. What a great shame, he was one of the very few telly-chefs I liked (along with Si King). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-68433675

I'm glad I caught this - https://www.humblebundle.com/games/capcom-cup-fighters-classics-pack?hmb_source=&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=mosaic_section_1_layout_index_1_layout_type_threes_tile_index_1_c_capcomcupfightersclassicspack_bundle It's an epic bundle and even though I'm not a beat-em-up fan there are some excellent classic arcade releases in here too!

Ours are just coming out now (I think the north is a couple of weeks behind the south for things like this), but the park behind my house has had crocuses out for about two weeks now. -
My mum lost her pruners at the beginning of winter and my dad suggested I buy her a decent pair for her upcoming birthday. Not a problem I thought, and off to Amazon I go to get an idea of pricing. After searching for pruners and sorting by price (high-low) I was presented by with these options! I'll try searching low-high this time

A Pair of Ring Necked Parakeets on the Lancaster Canal yesterday. They nest just behind the canal in a row of trees (there are a lot of them). -

This should be good (I hope), and no more having to login to change settings and get drivers! You can access the beta here - https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/geforce-experience/beta/ Just make sure you update your drivers to the latest version fist (as recommended in the video).

I remember finding quite a few very old 1p coins throughout my childhood (70's\80's). Mainly when digging around places. Those and farthings, sixpences etc.- 7 replies

Polywatch may be a better option than Brasso as it is a very fine paste (I think jewelers rouge may be an ingredient) and is used for removing scratches from watch glass (non sapphire\hardlex). That reminds me, I need to order some more! Be careful when buying though as they do a couple of versions, one for acryclic and other plastic lenses, and one for glass crystal. https://www.polywatch.de/en/

If you have let your tank run very low then you risk putting the sludge\stale fuel in your tank into the fuel system (more prevelent in diesel vehicles) clogging your fuel filter. I had expereince of this in my truck driving days. I really would try getting a decent petrol system cleaner in your fuel tank and giving it a good blast up the motorway. Not speeding, just a long distance at constant revs. But only if you feel confiendent doing so. As others have said though, the Ford 1l engine has some issues, and it would be well worth getting Forscan and an ODBII dongle to see what it could be. Be warned though, I spent £400 getting my old Modeos DFP cleaned out twice before I realised the error code was showing the effect, not the cause, which was a faulty £125 O2 sensor!

What fuel does it use, and what kind of use do you get out of it (local journies only, or long runs)? It could very well be a DPF\EGR\injector or sensor problem. I've had a Ford before and it was notorious for these problems (Mondeo) and I used to take it for a long run once a month and if I could remember, putting some diesel treatment in the tank, Forte stuff for preference - https://www.forteuk.co.uk/product/advanced-diesel-fuel-conditioner/ That would keep it in good order

I think I had one of those RM networks in my first school An old token ring affair (not kidding!) with thin clients and a weird server setup woth OS\2 and Windows 1.0! I had it decomission after the first 12 months as we had a Viglen Classlink system installed just before I got there as part of the NGFL project. I also got rid of Classlink at the same time and went over to vanilla Server 2000 with Windows 2000 on the desktops. My support calls went down over 90% once we ditched the old RM system and Classlink\Windows 98se on the new desktops.

I attended a very informative webinar on Tuesday as part of the Bowland Dark Skies Festival (it's been cloudy and wet all week!) and thought I'd pop a couple of resources on here as I recall some years back we had a thread about astrophotogrpahy with regular cameras. It seems that it's much easier to do with modern smartphones now. You will need a couple of relatively inexpensive things, but the results are worth it. Firstly download this guide (for much more info) - https://science.nasa.gov/learn/heat/resource/a-guide-to-smartphone-astrophotography/ Then watch this for a quick overview of how easy it is: I'll have to invest in a phone tripod mount and possibly a remote clicker then get myself somewhere dark when the cloude finally goes away!
