  2. With not long to go before the school bell rings once more it's time to ask how all of your work has gone this year? Are you sat with your feet up in the office drinking brews, or phoning suppliers chasing kit that should have been delivered in the first week? EduHobNobs and sympathy on standby.

  4. I would just put below the login details "The account information above will provide access to all of the platforms your child will be able to use within the schools ICT systems". Then provide a list of the systems it can be used on within the school so there is no excuse not have been informed.
  5. I watched Vivarium over the weekend. It gets very mixed reviews, but if you are willing to overlook the corners they had to cut due to it being an indie flick, then I think you'll be in for a good time. It does leave you asking why the protagonists don't take certain actions, but you just have to roll with it. It's currently on Amazon Prime. I also saw Wolf Children in the cinema with my son last night. Highly recommended for those who like their anime at a slower pace. I enjoyed it a lot!
  6. Went to the Lytham 1940's weekend on Saturday. Scorching heat and a massive turnout. Not fun on the bus back as they were all rammed and with temps still in the mid-20's.Not fun! Still, the mock battle on Lytham Green was great fun. Lots of pyro and blanks being let loose I, got to speak to the owners of these two German Sd.kfz 222 armoured cars and was surprised to find out that they had made them from scratch! The one in the foreground was built from a Land Rover 110 chassis and the one at the back from a Land Rover Discovery II. I was amazed the one based on the Discovery made it around the arena (I have stories of the utter horror of owning a Discovery II). Still, they were very well built and a credit to those involved.
  7. It's getting very visible up here in the shires, and I approve
  8. On another note, have you noticed that 80's rock fashion (suitable black band t-shirt, jeans and denim cut-off) is back in amongst the 'yoof'? Kinda nice to see and I can't help but stare as I used to dress like that 😁
  9. Thanks for that, I do love a good rock comedy. Not seen one since Still Crazy. And yes, I'm looking forward to the new Spinal Tap film
  10. Agreed. My main grumbling point with the BBC weather is that the icon for the day gives you the worst possible weather for the day. Even though you may only get half an hour of rain and blazing sunshine for the rest of the day, you'll still be shown the rain icon.
  11. I went down to Amesbury for an army reunion last weekend and whilst there decided to take a look at the site of Bluestonehenge. This is right on the banks of the river Avon and was the point neolithic visitors to Stonehenge would arrive by boat at the start of the Avenue (ritual path to Stonehenge). It was discovered in 2008 as part of the Stonehenge Riverside Project. There was a path to it, but I suspect was on private land due to garden tables and chairs being present, so I took a couple of snaps and left! It was a very pretty location.
  12. Very sad, Ozzy was a huge part of my youth, and, TBH I'm impressed he made it this far. He's left a very big mark in rock music history and I'll be raising a glass to him tonight.
  13. The EduGeek EDIT Conference Returns for 2025! We’re thrilled to announce that EDIT 2025 is officially back. Join us on Friday, 26th September 2025, at the iconic National Space Centre in Leicester, with the event kicking off at 10:00 AM. This year’s conference promises to be an inspiring day packed with insightful talks, an expo featuring leading edtech companies, and the chance to connect with fellow education IT professionals from across the country. A huge thank you goes out to our generous sponsor, SalamanderSoft, whose support helps us keep this event completely free to attend. Speakers, exhibitor, and ticket details will be announced soon — so stay tuned and keep an eye on the EduGeek forums and social channels for updates. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another fantastic day of learning, networking, and innovation. See you there!
  14. We usually wouldn't remove pricing, but when we receive requests to remove pricing posted in the forums (it happens a every now and again) due to the quote being confidential, then we have to do this I'm afraid. This isn't done for us, but to prevent members getting into hot water.
  15. Given I spend about £20 a year on canned air dusters, I think this will pay for itself after a short time.
  16. Electric air duster down from £39.99 to £24.36. Very tempted myself - https://www.amazon.co.uk/ONEWAY-Compressed-Electric-Rechargable-Cordless/dp/B0C8C8LDN1?ref=dlx_prime_dg_dcl_B0C8C8LDN1_dt_sl7_da&pf_rd_r=VM74Q7A40T1A6YVZ48F3&pf_rd_p=af2e3a65-a460-44ca-8eb4-74c41f04d1da
  17. Or in your neighbours hedge
  18. There are some very good offers on Carpuride Android Auto\Apple Car Play head units today. One I bought last year is down from £189 to £119.99 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Carpuride-W903-Portable-Wireless-Carplay/dp/B0CJ9CWRVF?crid=17SAMUI45H0KF&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.QHcLIllUjpj3lMD9xWgFgfpwUroK9Klpfhinqe8XTJgv-5ywexWNGmdoVRHpu1KbqLsR-vihg4xgirtLM_H9WqRFR3aPBR6buvb6lWbdnTgakrWzXoAIsChZw79M2Q9eI5J1gPVCjfzIIfXPjuQ6DXGVKzaOG1GwJSeb3x2bGrWiCO3nt1HDqeTb4SgPlYqwmOi9RQ3RLOjPGNwv1URJIVh9dVrgIPfXY-pdhJtcQnc.oWoO2Gj91N-0PG6z7sENYkBNUS9au0TcmimfFoB5r2Q&dib_tag=se&keywords=carpuride&qid=1751987206&sprefix=carpuride%2Caps%2C88&sr=8-6&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.a56bf500-33e2-4a49-b21f-ee6fbd593a4c I paid £152 for mine (and it was on sale), so this is a steal. A very handy unit for those who can't replace their car head unit for a phone compatible one, and I have been more than happy with mine.
  19. Will this do? - https://www.amazon.co.uk/ARZOPA-16-0-2-5K-Portable-2560x1600/dp/B0CJC93CH9?ref=dlx_prime_dg_dcl_B0CJC93CH9_dt_sl7_32_pi&pf_rd_r=HR39N8KX0HQ29CB38GBJ&pf_rd_p=3678bb51-5fa1-4a78-99dc-88ab4e1e4432&th=1
  20. Another Amazon sales week has crept up on us! The sale starts at midnight tonight and will run to the 11th July. As always, if you see any offer, or want us to keep an eye out for you then please post up your wish list in the thread. Also don't forget to use plugins such as CamelCamelCamel to ensure what you are getting really is a bargain, as other retailers tend to price match (or beat) Amazon during the week. As for me, I'm after a 1TB PCIe hard drive, a laser measure and, if cheap enough a 2 bay NAS (when did home NAS enclosures get so expensive!).
  21. I had the very same issue to the other week when I tried to connect a friends Outlook to their Gmail (none of which were corporate). Several hours of failing to connect to the account, despite all of the settings being correct (manually created), app passwords created and other faffing ensued. I installed Thunderbird in the end. It connected first time.
  22. Came across this moth whilst out for a walk yesterday. It's not one I recognised and wasn't in any of my moth books (yes, I have moth books): Turns out it's a Box Tree Moth, and a relatively new arrival in the UK from Asia. It's considered a serious pest in some regions - https://butterfly-conservation.org/moths/box-tree-moth
  23. Oooh, some decent looking sci-fi, of which we haven't had enough of this year. I hope it's as good as the trailer makes it look.
