As far as I am aware they only get a result if they score within one above or below the predicted grade. If for example you put them in at lvl 4 and they get a 2 they will be ungraded.

Even though ours were all entered in as a 4 as Jake says according to the Head when they arrive at the school they should be on a level 5 anyway, which means they went backwards! We switched from pcounter to PMP and its far better. We charge £1 per page as we do not recharge departments and it's easier to work out quota's. Password manger, Printer Credit , Pupils Documents, Supervisor tools? These options sound to me like you have far from a vanilla 2003 server install. Did you install the server yourself, or was it installed by an outside company. Sure you are not using Microsoft Learning Network Manager, in which case it is far from Vanilla. Why would MS have a tool called Pupils Files?

I normally get device Cals, then each device only has to have the licence as opposed to each user for each server. I choose per device rather than per seat on each server setup and have no problem at all.

We ran 48 pupils through yesterday, went smoothly and only had 2 client crashes but a quick reboot solved those. We are running all pupils through stage 1 this week and then they all run through stage 2 next week. We managed to schedule the sessions over a 2 week period allowing us to use minimum network resources so as not to affect the rest of the network. Worked a treat.

I have 4 of those servers, I bought them with dual chips in them and when they were full price They have been discontinued now and replaced with a new varient of which I bought 4 more. Decent servers not had a problem with either of the models I bought.

You sure the students are not just going in via the PRACTICE tab. If you schedule a test and allocate pupils you have to print off the passwords and they log in via the first TEST tab. Thats the only way you can see them via a scheduled test on the flight deck. When you shedule the test you have to assign the allocated pupils to the test, but you also have to make sure that the tests are installed on the clients and the easiest way to do that is via an MSI as detailed in the manual.

Or you could do like I did and send the test out to the machines via group policy where it installs the test for you. ....oh wait, I was a bit late with that one.

My exchange server died yesterday morning at around 9:30. Masses of disk errors and taking 4hours to boot up. Currently now trying to repair the disk which has 70 bad sectors on it. We use Norton Corporate and it is great. Very low maintenance overhead, which keeps me happy.
