Resolved: It was working, the problem was with the laptop I was using to test, it's failing to contact the RPC server Actually it works sometimes on wireless connections and all the time on hardwired. Frustrating

Indeed I do want to deny staff, I am creating an E-Registration highly locked down account, so I don't want them logging on using their account, on 4 specific machines.

I have 2 policies above this one which are enforced, all IT rooms, and Teacher Machines, I have a tree like this: Computers OU (GPO ALL IT Rooms) Local Security setting in here disabling Auditing of Object Access This policy is Enforced | -----> Teachers Machine (GPO Teachers Machines) No Settings in GPO at moment This policy is Enforced | ----------> Pe_E-Reg (GPO PE E Reg) Contains the Disable Network Access and Local Logon This policy is Enforced

I have applied this, created an OU for teachers machines, and created a GP with nothing in it apart from those settings, and I am still able to login with a staff account. what have I missed

You are using 2 personal experiences to support your arguement, one of which you say is a driver over 40+, thats only a personal Straw poll vs statistics from accidents nationally, hardly comparable.

The only thing I am using to my advantage is facts. You asked why are younger drivers blamed and the answer is more often than not it's because they are to blame. The advantage of age is that you can look back to your youth and comment, I drove like and idiot when I was in my early twenties as do the majority of 17-25 year olds, now in my 30's I do not break the speed limits, I am just not in a rush to get anywhere now. You can not fudge the figures to suit your arguement that young drivers are not to blame, they are. And they push up insurance for everyone else.

Because statistcally they are responsible for more accidents, thats just a plain fact in the same way as smoking causes cancer.

We have had in interesting problem occur on our file server. One year group (year 10), some user areas will not allow anyone to save in them, even domain admin accounts. It seems to be a small number of random users in that year group that is affected, the error you get is: http://www.saintedmunds.org.uk/tempupload/diskerror.jpg As you can see, there is plenty of space on that drive, as far as I can see the permissions are identical to neighbouring folders that work fine. OS is Windows Storage Server 2008 Standard SP2 and we have no Disk Quota's in force. Thanks

2. Your suggestion there is almost as crazy as lets not send people to jail for shop lifting, laws are laws and the points system is there to take people off of the roads who constantly break the law, like boy racers.

I would go for this, then with less boy racers on the road my insurance may go down

You keep asking for facts yet I have also noticed that you have failed to provide any hard evidence to counter my claims. In the same way as you say I cannot just post with as you put it 'betting and conjecture' you can not counter my claims with more of the same. You are assuming that the 2.47 million unemployed all want to work which you can be totally assured is not true. You say what is it about young people you do not like when you do not know how old I am. I will tell you what I don't like about people, I don't like the fact that people moan about not getting a job yet when you offer them a job at McDonalds they say I am not working there, a job is a job and in my experience there are plenty of them. There is no excuse for being unemployed.

Thats the available jobs in 3 months, obviously a large amount of those should get filled and a similar amount would be generated in the next quarter. You would need to analyse the amount of long term unemployed rather than the total figure which would include those who maybe unemployed for 3 weeks and now back in employment. You would find that long term unemployed is around half of the 2.4 mill and I can bet you that te majority of those would be people who do not want to work around 1 million say.

You will find that the word I used is 'most' not all and most can mean anything from 50.0000001% upwards, nowhere did I say all as you are implying so please check your facts. So why in your enlightened opinion do you think there was a sharp rise in youth (under 25) employment under the previous government? Could it be because they encouraged more people to go to uni for worthless degree's that have no functional use in the job market.

I can give you just as many examples where the reverse is true. Source. NAtional Statistics Office which showed that unemployment was down and vacancies are up. You are assuming that Millions will be kicked off of incapacity. I know loads of young people who would not consider working at ASDA or Tesco stacking shelves and rather stay on the dole. I also know a load of people who should be kicked off of incapacity benefit and told to look for work. If I had my way they would get no financial support at all.

There is not a limited pool of jobs there are loads of jobs available to those who want work. The limiting factor is that while older people are more willing to do any job most young people are not willing to work unless it's for 5 hours or less a day, with 100 days holiday a year and £50 per hour.

Well if the previous government were not so fixated with sending everyone to uni and invested more in vocational training then there would not be so many young people on the Rock'n'roll with a useless degree's.

Not really got a funny comment but more of an action. I was sat in my car waiting for my mates with my cousin who was in the passenger seat. He pushed the cig lighter on and waited till it popped up, then he took it out looked at the glowing end and touched on it his forhead! He had to walk around with a half an inch burn in the middle of his forhead for ages. To this day he still has no idea what possessed him to do it.

I agree suppliers have to make a profit, thats expected. I am not going to feel sorry for them, I will continue to squeeze them as a much as possible as most suppliers are willing to cut each others throats to get business, that makes it advantage schools, not disadvantage.

I will just do what I normally do now, squeeze suppliers until I get the best price, I have no sympathy for them. Those suppliers who put their prices up will find they will lose custom, simple.
