  2. Spent the day upgrading people to T&LU, atleast its easy!
  3. Yeah i chucked my secrets into GCS so once ive made sure my scripts work ill probably remove gam from my laptop
  4. means i dont need to run back to my laptop to use it anymore, shame it cant be used to run cron jobs but ill take what i can get
  5. Well that was the best 10 minutes ive spent this year.
  6. Whats the expected costs of running gam in gcp? IM not overly familiar so sorry if its a dumb question
  7. https://community.jamf.com/t5/jamf-pro/setting-keyboard-layout/m-p/64256 this looks promising
  8. if its going into recovery mode its likely been forcibly powered off when rebooting and updating - had it happen a few times because it just "black screens" for a bit
  9. heres what i have in ours
  10. If you go into the smoothwall logs and filter for kernel and unplug and replug the cable it will log there what its negotiated at? or ssh the smoothwall and check it on there? not sure of any other way to get it to display in the web panel
  11. DEP has never been flakey for us, if youre having devices not auto enrol thats your MDM not doing the prestage enrolment properly - with jamf our devices are ready to go 15 minutes after hitting asm, usually just check the sites prestage enrolment to check the new devices have filtered in and off we go. Moysle is good for what it is if you want a free way to chuck apps about but i dont rate it tooo high after using it for a year
  12. Stop what youre doing, put things on a shelf until you have ASM setup. Enrol the ipads you have into DEP on ASM using configurator, or ask the supplier to push them into DEP (any ipads you have turned on will need wiped to pickup the new provisioning profile), you can then force them to auto enrol into LSMDM and save yourself a headache. https://www.apple.com/uk/education/k12/it/
  13. personally id even settle for is the user the same as the last, if not remove any existing profiles. means we keep the performance of having repeat users cached but in a shared environment theres no buildup of crap
  14. not sure to be honest, i had issues on day and just went through the urls refusing to connecte for whatever reason and added them to not inspect and it resolved it for us
  15. when on the erroring mail page, open developer tools and refresh it and see what red errors you get - these are usually urls that google wont like you inspecting, theyre usually pretty easy to spot

  17. Theres an extensive list of stuff to no inspect. https://github.com/google/gfw-deployments/blob/master/apps/utils/GoogleAppsWildcardedDomains.txt Youre gonna have - to be careful though, if you stop inspecting some urls you lose contextual filtering on youtube/search so i would do as little as you need to make them work
  18. No idea I expected it to filter kind of like an ad blocker would but anything on windows requires some client kind of annoyed me but at the time chrome os was my big concern - on site appliance does my thing here for winfows
  19. it is a per user extension but i dont think it functions the same on windows - atleast is requires a client installed as well as the extension so it wont magically filter their chrome browser unfortunately - this could have changed since i last tried though
  20. speak to smoothwall, cloud filter is in with the onsite appliance - Just gotta deploy an extension to the chromebooks and it will do the filtering on device - mirroring your onsite appliances rules
  21. which gen switches do you have? were having a few issues at one site on the latest too - We ordered a full set of unifi sfps in the meantime
  22. its at the discression of the supplier, in some cases if theyre box shifters it can mean they then need to get in touch with JTRS/Westcoast and have them do it so they say they cant. As log as the ipad was DEP capable its possible
  23. The bed doesnt look too level, the rim seems to be really thin on one side and thick on the other. What firmware are you running? a benchy shouldnt require supports The print also looks like you might need to tune your esteps or retraction settings. if youre open to flashing firmware i have Jyers on my ender 3 v2 and it makes the leveling proccess alot simpler
  24. im not sure how far integris has moved on in recent years but we switched our entire trust to scholarpack from integris about 5 years ago as it was too complex for staff to operate.
  25. i think you need to find a happy medium, there are "guests" and some "proffessionals" you need to make exemptions for. We have nhs staff in our schools which require vpns to access what they need to do their work... i dont allow VPNs or access to any ports outside our network that arent via the proxies. do i tell the nhs they cant do what they need or do i make arrangements? this is no different. I just segregate their device and give it what it needs to function.
