Never had any issues in the past. Whenever I've done exchange migrations I've always logged on as a domain admin to test with initially, before then testing as a standard user staff and student. Wasn't my account I was using to test it, it was our cloned 'Administrator' account which we use for workstation admin purposes.

After several reinstalls and testing, it was simply an issue with the admin account but not sure why.... If I logged on as a standard user, and ran outlook the autodiscover worked fine and outlook opened! However, on the admin user it crashes on outlook 2016, but on Outlook 2013 it works fine on Windows 10 Perhaps a bug?!

I'll have to crash and try another install - Only difference is I'm using enterprise of windows. As well, I downloaded the latest windows 10 ISO 1511 build and latest version of Office 2016 from the VL site.

Has anyone else found this issue yet? I've tried with both 32 bit and 64 bit office on Windows 10 with same issue on both... or it comes up with Microsoft Outlook has stopped responding.

We get HP servers with 3 years warranty. All are out of warranty now and still have some that are 6 years running without any issues. Only disadvantage now is that if a hard drive fails, it's not covered so have to purchase the replacement drives. If a server was going to fail, I think with it running 24/7 it would fail within 3 years. I always budget for 2 spare servers each year just in case and also have 1 on standby.

Usually it's unticked by default but is 'do not show in address list' unchecked? Might be an offline address book issue - perhaps force an update?

FULL backup every night. - I can cope with a 10 hour backup at the moment as have a 12 hour window.

When doing general file copying of small files it is using all 4 connections. general file copying through windows (lots of small files) generally averages 200-400mb/s so guess that's about right for backup at 1600MB/min.

Yep, came across that website, and aware it will only use a single stream. Just seems a bit strange how the backup throughput is lower than if copying directly.

All servers are 2012 R2 and have tried both Static Teaming and Switch independent, and now they're set to LACP and LACP configured on the switches. if I do a straight file transfer between systems it maxes out the connection at 800MB/sec., but during the backup it appears to run steady at 200MB/s.

is there any other way to increase the backup speed over gigabit network apart from upgrading to 10 GB? I'm backing up 1.1TB and I can get the first 800GB of data backed up in 4.5 hours as the data is local storage on the server that the tape drive is installed on as speed gets upto 5000MB/Minute. For the remainder of the backup this then takes another 5 hours to backup 300GB of data, and all servers have LACP teamed links (4 x 1GB), however during the backup, it seems to only get to a maximum transfer speed of 1500MB/min. Can I expect anything higher than this?

Just clean installed the latest windows 10 update 1511 and installed office 2016. Got the start menu customised nicely and deployed through an XML. Thought i'd test the shortcuts - Outlook 2016 being one of them. Created a new mailbox and on the first run - gets to the second step of the autodiscovery then crashes out with the error below... Anyone else had this issue? Autodiscover works fine for office 2010 and 2013.

We have to have one for insurance purposes, but also the trust require us to keep a record. If we dispose of any assets we have to complete a form so that it is signed off.

Tell them if it's too expensive and the network runs slow then it's their own fault! Fibre cable is cheap, your paying for the termination and testing equipment as not cheap. How about running your own pre-terminated fibre? We did it once for a run as was cheaper - only issue was getting the patch panel gland through holes as had to be 20mm wide then fill in the holes afterwards.

We've had Epson projectors for a number of years now and always been happy with them. The bulbs usually last between 3000 and 4000 hours. Inherited some Casio bulbless ones which had some pixel issues with but got repaired under warranty.

I would always have at least 1 physical DC so at least you have a logon system, as if all your DCs are virtual, you have nothing to authenticate against.

I've used P2V conversion tools many a times to migrate systems and test stuff before changing on production.

Even the biggest of companies are meant to have resilient systems in place, but how often do they work when they are needed and don't failover properly. Each to their own really!

Yes, all my servers are the same make/model and always have a spare. Depends on the system. 2012 R2 is pretty good with drivers to get a basic server online in 20 minutes. Depends what the issue is, we all have backups so even if the local storage failed/SAN failed you wouldn't be able to access the data to copy.

A physical system is no less reliable than virtual. In 13 years (touch wood) I have never had a server fail. Had the odd hard drive fail and still using servers that are 6 years old. Why put all your eggs in one basket or have to double up on everything for redundancy/failover i.e 2 x SANs. I once had to manage a network that had a single SAN/2 x ESX systems and spent more time sorting their problems out and if they lost their SAN, kaboom that's the entire network down. I have a happy healthy reliable network and no reason to change it.

Physical or virtual is user preference and no one solution fits all. I still believe in having physical servers with local storage for critical systems, i.e SIMS, Exchange, File Access. If you lose one server for any reason your only losing part of your network. I'd have to be convinced to change to anything else. I have 2 hyper-v hosts but those only run non-critical apps such as WSUS, McAfee EPO, Paxton Access etc so if have to take down or have hardware issues they have no effect on end users.

Our Copier/ Papercut provider set our MFPs at 2p mono, 5p colour. For our standard laser printers they said a fair cost would be 4p mono, 10p black to encourage them to use the new copiers. As toners were charged to the department, they said they would pay for whatever is cheaper! The Pence per page, or the cost of the toner!
